Former Hammer Joins As Three Leave

I'll look forward to reading in the Express how we've signed someone from Hemel Hempstead while 3 have left to go and play in America.

Shame to lose Butts, Wilson & Fagan. We probably had 5 or 6 exceptional players last season and they were 3 of them. Anyway good luck to them, they have served the club well over the last couple of seasons.

What's the betting we play Hemel first game of the season?

Very sad to see these three depart as they all can certainly do a job at a higher level. I thought Bruce made us tick in the midfield last year and had an excellent work rate, Fagan is a class act and hard to replace. I wish them all the best.

Who do we reckon will be captain next year? I think woozley has a shout as he was very vocal when playing, led by example in going in goal and has the experience.

Just announced that we've signed these from you...

Ryan Wharton, Ryan Parsons, Steve Butler, Scott Thomas, Bruce Wilson.

Butler we know all about as he played for us before leaving to join Hendon, but can you give us any views on the others?

Wharton top bloke gives everything hes got not the best player in the world but you know what you get with him

Ryan Parsons could play at a higher level fantastic left back who can also get forward well

Butts, Getting on abit but he rarley gets found out

Scott Thomas... I thought he was poor but i think i am on my own on that one. Did score one great goal but not alot else!

Bruce Wilson great player. Can play in a number of postions but best in center midfield.

I see you've signed 5 foot 6 but we dont care benny benny porter too. On his day he was fantastic but never really got to show it under Keith Scott his first season with us he won every single award but never went on to play at that level again

Hemelite

You have signed some very good players there...all of whom can play at a higher level, in fact Ryan Parsons has played in the conference south when he was with Maidenhead some years ago. A sad loss for us but I wish the players well apart from when they play against us (of course).

Ryan Wharton is class and was man of the match in our game against Totton at their place, Bruce was fantastic week in week out and Parsons got my vote for player of the season. Scott Thomas will be good with a run of games and does everything well but nothing exceptional, normally. Butts will be a loss if only for his leadership, but as rock at the back.

Each player will be missed and needed to be replaced, but wish them all the best
