Seems good -albeit-whilst its obviously me not 'keeping up' properly i thought MFC had forged similar links with Ursuleine about 3 seasons ago.

 

Maybe this re-inforces and strengthens the bond.

 

Will'academy players ' be strong and good enough to compete at KLeague div one level ?That given-our 'reserves struggled last season anyway, and it seems on a few occasions-struggled to even make a full team.

 

What will be the difference between any MFC U18 team and the reserves forged together at Ursuleine ?

 

In medium /long term it seems like a great move and do really hope that one or two of them can make it through to the first team.

 

Is the implication that next season it is unlikely that the reserve team will see appearances made by first team 'fringe players' (notwithstanding our very small first team squad ) and/or players recovering from injury;and that the reserve/academy team is very much a 'youth squad',and exclusively Ursuleine college players.

We did have an arrangement whereby Ursuline kind of sent players onmto us but one of the impacts - particularly last season - was players playing too much. This arrangement is a formal partensrhip that will see the Academy side in essence combine the U18s and Reserves; the idea being for it to produce a pipleline of potential players for the Fotball Club. I'm sure the better players will at times find themselves on the bench for first team games on occasions which will be good experiece for them.
