Recommended Posts

So we can guess it will be like this:

Barking

Barkingside

Basildon Utd

Bethnal Green Utd

Bowers & Pitsea

Burnham Ramblers

Clapton

Enfield 1893

Eton Manor

Harlow Town

Hullbridge Sports

London APSA

Mauritius Sports Association

Sawbridgeworth Town

Southend Manor

Stansted

Takeley

Witham Town

That's 18 teams.Would Leyton be relegated if VCD wins their appeal?

FA confirm Harlow reprieve

10:04 18 Jun 10

HARLOW Town will remain in Division One North, despite finishing bottom of the table last season.

That was confirmed yesterday (Thursday) when VCD Athletic's appeal against their relegation was turned down by the FA. The Kent club failed to complete work on their ground by the required date.

Harlow manager Kevin Warren has been busily building up his squad. His latest recruits are Clark Akers and Chris Ellerbeck, who return to the club, while Louis Bristow joins from Essex Senior League side Takeley.

Don't be surprised if grays end up in the Esl

the ryman leaguecare apparantly less than happy with grays saying they have misled the league on two accounts and have lodged an appeal over inclusion in the ryman premier because they hadn't had a groundshare approved like they said they had (the east Thurrock top brass confirmed this to the league at the Agm) and there is still some uncertainty whether grays are being wound up or not

Ive heard that east thurrock utd have already signed a groundshare agreement with olympian league side hutton who played at east thurrock last season,if thats the case and a contract has been signed by both east thurrock utd and hutton fc,then grays wont be able to groundshare with east thurrock utd for the forthcoming season.

I had every intention of announcing our Constitution which, presently, stands at 17 in the last 24 hours but as advised in writing to all clubs yesterday afternoon I am now unable to do so owing to circumstances beyond our control. Hopefully matters will be resolved by next week but in the meantime, please excuse us for not responding to any thread re fixtures as consideration cannot even be given to them until the Ryman issue theirs ! Tricky times folks !

May be they are re-thinking about Witham and taking them just to get them out of their misery?grin.gif

They did, but since the Beaumont fiasco they have tightened it up a lot. Basically you must get promoted into the ESL either through the Olympian, or the Middlesex league (as BGU did). The days when clubs would be accepted from any route just to make up the numbers seem to be gone for good.

The Essex Business House League is the same step level as the Essex Olympian League so london aspa didnt bypass the olympian to get into the essex senior league

No it isn't compaq. The Business Houses league is a step 10 league according to the national league structure, which is equivalent to the Olympian's bottom division. However, when APSA entered the ESL I think it was before the imposition of the national league structure? It might have been the last season under the old system, in which case, if at the time it had feeder league status then your assertion that it was the same level as the Olympian, would have been correct.

Just checked - APSA were indeed promoted under the last season of the old structure.
