'They Think It's All Over' or 'It's Up For Grabs Now'

Whilst 'it's quiet' and we're forced to sit, sorry, sleep through Honduras v Chile and New Zealand v Slovakia, I was just curious to see what members feel was the most memorable commentary line of all time, Kenneth Wolstenholme's or Brian Moore's.

 

For me it is obviously the latter and Wolstenholme can't even hold a candle to many of David Coleman, Gerald Sinstadt and Barry Davies's commentary lines!

I thought Chile v Honduras was a good game, I was kind of fancying Honduras as my dark horses, but I thought Chile were very good & played some excellent football. You should never prejudge Mr Rhodes. I was expecting Portugal v Ivory Coast to be an excellent game yet it was awful. It only happens every 4 years, go for it FFS !

Never thought Brazil v North Korea would be much but at least the Koreans went for it & made it a game.

what is good for a pub is good enough in here...

 

obviously we might sometimes relocate posts - but yes if it has an appeal to all members and is not linked to just one league or team then yes. So World cup is fine in here....

 

if it is non league related or lower non-league then one of the other two general non league forums would be good.
