Frimley Green New Manager Scott Tarr will bring a lot of new players into the mix. Also 40k spent on the ground will attract players.

Hartley will struggle unless they keep their large budget

Westfield we be in the mix as well.

Lammas will finish mid table

mid table!! behave!

I think there will be a few more teams competing this year than there has been, with the likes of Eversley who i must say have a lovely pitch and should only get stronger from last season, Bedfont sports should push on from last season as well. I think there will be a few teams that will have better seasons than last year, like Westfield with new managers and work going on at their ground so it looks promising there. Also Sheerwater who finished near the bottom last season, have a new manager who is one of the best managers in the combined counties and will have them organised and bring in some new players i am sure, so they should pick up more points than last season.

Will Bedfont sports be taking any of the bedfont players that disbanded from the prem division? surely one or two of them must be up for grabs and help stregthen their team?

Warlingham at the end of the season went on a great run and looked one of the best sides i had seen last season, the question is will they be keeping the same squad as last year and if so they will be up there come the end of the season.

Expect a much changed and improved Westfield side too

If we can get the players in that we have spoken to, Westfield will definitely be much improved from last season. There is a very good standard of local players in the Woking area and if you can get the right 1 or 2 in, then you normally get a couple to follow.

As always, Westfield can offer nothing but football and a good social life to players, but this season the club is really trying to move forward with everyone involved working hard to get a much better squad together. The last couple of years have been far from successful but with new management and the new facilities due to be finished at the end of the season, we’re certainly looking to forget about all that, and hoping to push for promotion within the next couple of years!

I do laugh at others who think we have a large budget as they assume that all the decent players want to play for money.

It's not the case, we have some good players playing for us because it's a good atmosphere at Hartley.

We now have Michael Wallace coaching us ( Reading Youth) with Roachy and things will be even better this season. We have a great clubhouse, changing rooms etc and the boys have a laugh.

If you start looking at our squad for the forthcoming season our budget will be in the region of two grand a week!

Why do people care so much about the amount clubs pay there players? Fair play to clubs who have the money to pay players, im sure if offered money no one would turn it down, im just happy we dont have to pay any subs anymore down South Park.

As for the league in this upcoming season, sounds like it will be a very competitive league.....with last season lower end teams having changes and improvements....last new boys Eversley and Bedfont Sports likely to improve and with FNE coming across with no fear as they beat Frimley last year!!! It looks like everyone considers themselves contenders.

I completely agree Molly11. If clubs can afford to pay players, then fair play to them.

At Eversley, we are currently spending all funds on improving the ground. The players have always paid signing on fees and now get to play more games for their money. However in the future there may well be available funds.....you never know!

There have been quite a few changes made at the club in the last few weeks and hopefully we'll improve on last season 8th place finish.

  • 4 weeks later...

I personally fancy Warlingham for promotion this year. But am mindful of the Ryman League stipulating that their Groundshare at Whyteleafe was for 1 season only. But last Thursday gave Grays a 2 year Groundshare at East Thurrock, double standards or a precedent?.I hope that the C.C.L. Committee are fighting Warlinghams corner, and are not just sitting back waiting for things to happen, what happened at the Burton Albion Meeting, did this throw any light on the matter, QUEUE WHITELAW.Else that Jovial Referee who Officiates at C.C.L. Level,Mr. Robinson will have some Questions to answer next time our Paths cross.

I think Knaphill will win it, with teams like Staines, Bedfont Sports Eversley, South Park,Hartley Wintney, Worcester Park will be around the top 5, and i think teams like you said Sheerwater will be a surprise package, going by there results against the prem teams and with a good manager organising them. Also teams like Westfield should be competing this year, along with Warlingham and Cobham
