Jimmy Jackson forced into retirement

Invicta's majestic midfield maestro Jimmy Jackson is set to undergo two knee operations in September in order to avoid long term damage - as he announces his retirement from football.

Sad loss to Non league football, a great bloke, hope we see him come to watch games at Hartsdown in the future.

What a true legend - thanks for some great memories Jimmy. Part of that team that played some of the best football I've ever seen at this level in the half-hour demolition of Worthing. And who could forget that wondergoal he scored against the scum at Deadwood. All the best Jimmy - make sure you pop back to your true home from time to time, we'd be honoured to have you!

JJ always a 90 minute man, frequently made himself available for the option of a pass and was more often or not the target of the goal kicks to head on. Always hoped he might return to us.

 

Good luck with the ops sir I enjoyed watchng you play .
