Players Wages

NEW FAN

Recommended Posts

I am hearing rumours that Peter Simpson has still not paid the players who won the league, there wages for the last 3 months of the season. If this is correct Peter Simpson you dissapoint me. The manager is in the paper all the time and on our website talking about how they are making new signings. What players would want to play for our club if the club have not and can not pay players who won us a league. David Mudge must know about this and if you do then I think you are not fit to manage our club. Please sort it out those boys deserve it.

OK New Fan or should I say Tony Broadbank.

You've had your moment with your letter being printed in the Non-League paper and if you actually read said paper you will see a peice about this on the back page where Peter Simpson explains the situation and what is being done about it.

Don't start stirring the [censored] on here about why we whould be signing new players when other have not been paid. Players will leave from last season, that we already know, but we have to sign players to replace them. If you can be bothered to read the publication that you write to you will get your answer.

If you don't like what is going on then you don't have to get involved, you can just go and walk away and join whoever it is who posts with split persona's, yes I have checked and Samaritan and Players Mate are the same person.

the fans need to know what is going on at the club. The bottom line is that there are still outstanding monies to be paid to players from last season fact!!.

Dave Mudge has been put in charge and will have to work with outstanding debts and a budget that wouldn't be managable in the Hellenic league. As for Michael Chennells the committed for another season story is a publicity stunt to try and apease discruntled fans.

We shall have to wait and see on that one...

Windsor is a close knit club and fans know what's going on. Personally i'm pretty bored with all of this players wages stuff, I'm a supporter and would rather look forward to the season ahead. The only people who should have issue over the wages issue would be any affected players, to them I would suggest they contact the chairman directly. I just find it interesting that our best players are signing up for next season. If you're a new fan, as your name suggests, then to be honest the fans here would rather look forward to the season ahead. All your doing as a new fan is bringing unecessary negativity to the club.

I'm all for freedom of speech, but by the same token i'm bored with all of this players wages stuff and so called new fans coming on here trying to stir crap. Would anyone else rather Malcolm, as moderator of this board, just delete any future posts on the wages issues, so as a club we can move on. And anyone who wishes to bring it up write directly to the chairman? That way we can put an end to all this negative stuff and as a club we can move on and look forward to the season ahead. I'm sure Peter would be happy to discuss with any new fans who are losing sleep over it.

On the 'positive' a great supporters event last night, and nice to see so much work being done around the ground, also good to see Jake Parsons there in the morning signing his new contract, posing for photos. Also a further call out to Jake who for the second time on the Friday night helped with the coaching of kids from a local church charity. Great to see happy players getting involved with the club's community activities.

I'd say don't delete it. If as I'd presume it's just some fool stirring with stuff he's made up, then why remove the evidence that he's a moron? Let it be. Deleting it just makes it seem as if we've got something to hide. And let the rest of us continue amusing ourselves with unfounded rumours :)

Mal,

For those of us who don't get this paper, any chance of summarising the article? Or was it just this old one?

It's alright Paul i'll accept your apology when it arrives! signthankspin.gif

Interested in seeing what Peter has to say aswell. Susprised it's in the NLP and not the local one as more Windsor fans are likely to read that. Can anyone upload it?

New Fan IF Mudge really does have a budget that is Hellenic level then doesnt that suggest Windsor are looking at paying the debts back?! Afterall the people through the gate alone bring in enough to fund hellenic level football and above!

It wouldnt susprise me if there is truth in what newfan says to be honest and who's to say the players who are owed money are not chenns and jake parsons but others who wont be returning?

Can anyone confirm if Angie has quit? I heard she has. Great shame if she has.

Can't believe you didn't know that Woody, you seem to know everything else that goes on at the club!

Yes Angie has left as she's now in the build-up process towards the 2012 Olympic Games with the British Canoeing squad for which everyone at the club wishes her every success.

She has said she'll still pop in and see everyone when she can spare the time and her other-half Craig is still going to be involved at the club so let's not start spreading any 'Doom & gloom' stories about this as we knew ages ago that she would be leaving.

I am still waiting for the apology from when I tried to build bridges with you and you just threw the CD in the bin.

Good luck for the future Angie.

I should know better than to post. Just leaving this subject to die naturally is the best course of action I feel. However, I'm going to have my say..

Firstly a message to my fellow supporters and fans of the club. Don't concern yourself with anything written on this forum, in the local rag or non-league papers. Forgetting the fact that we are a small club, know each other (by sight if nothing else) and want the best for our club, we are all fans of our football team - we want our football team to win games - it makes us happy.

In this brutal world, I'm not sure I should really give two hoots what goes on behind the scenes. Do I really care that player A is owed X amount? Probably not....I just want my team to play and win. That sounds horrendous - but we all have [censored] to put up with.

So to answer the original post "you guys need to know the truth"....I don't and personally don't feel any fan of the club needs to know whats going on. That's business between a boss and his employees. As long as there are 11 guys on that pitch giving all for my team, I'm happy.

I think someone once said a companies biggest asset are its staff... "if there isnt a company, there certainly arent any staff".....decisions are made for the good of the bigger picture.

Why am I posting? Because Keith, Jim and all the players gave us Supporters a kick up the jacksy, got us excited and enthused about the club. Whoever the anonymous posters are launching what cant be far off a "smear" campaign against Sir Peter should respect us as supporters and fans, and stop deliberately trying to damage the club - because that is what posts on here and made up letters in Non-League papers are designed to do?

Our Football Club is moving forward despite obstacles....even Woody sounds positive at the moment!

Just thought i'd add a real fact, i have registered as a user just to reply to this debate.

I played for Windsor during the 08/09 season, and did not return for the following season , and have not been paid money due to me.

I'm not the only one from that season who have monies outstanding, We are obvioulsy not gonna get our money, i have never heard from Peter to apologise, and i can confirm just in the last 2 months of that season i took 2 days off work unpaid just to make games.

Anyway fans can dismiss unpaid monies, but i know for a fact when your paying wages the size that windsor do, some players do rely on that for bills/food etc etc.

Just a players perspective.

Well done on last years promotion.Thoroughly deserved.

08/09, thanks for taking the trouble to register, unlike a few idiots who are trying to stir things up without having the facts to hand but relying on what they're being fed by people witha grudge to bear!

I will talk to Peter about this when he returns from a well-earned break in the South of France as there's something a bit odd about your statement considering that during the summer of 09 all payments were supposed to have been completed! If you could drop me an email [with more details, it will be treated with the strictest confidence!] to secretary@wefc.co.uk and I'll follow it up for you.
