If brimsdown Rovers want to Merge with Enfield 18wotsit thats their business and deffo not yours . So why poke your snouts in . So why didnt brimsdown want to merge with you Enfield Towns then ? Maybe they didnt like you as much as you thought . Thats not too hard to work out given the level of arrogance on show here .....Is it .

'Big hoo ha' am I missing something????? I don't read any 'big hoo ha' on this thread and also can't read into too much of what you have written on here either.

 

Learn the facts though, if we'd merged with brimmo or 1893 we'd have to be relegated as the the new club will have to play at the lesser teams league standing, so that would'nt be too attractive for the Town, I don't call that arrogant just not worth our while.

 

Fact two, is that 1893 have muscled in or are trying to muscle into a ground and facilities that have been enhanced by ETFC, a club which 1893 and their supporters regard and call as traitors but still deem it ok to set up a brand new club from the death of EFC something they criticised ETFC doing 10 years ago.

 

The bar takings as far as i'm aware go towards maintaining the facilities and nothing else, sounds fair enough so long as it is so.

 

So what is your grievance other than stating some inaccurate and PMT like comments???

Secondly, the developers can muscle their way into anything, except the Donkey Lane site as its a supporters trust site. So like 1893 have bought their way into Brimsdown, so can Laing/Barratt Homes, who's to say it won't happen one day??? Afterall affordable homes are hard to come by.

 

Also what's this I hear the Clubhouse had no license to sell alcohol on friday/Saturday???

or it could be that i moved but still support my home town club. are you the only old wimbledon fan that defected to follow them in Milton keynes? whats your reason for not supporting AFC?

I think they actually publicised this when they merged. The intention as I understood it was always to play under the 1893 name this season and then to "rebrand" next season as something that incorperates both names.

 

Whether that will happen only time will tell, but I think they were pretty honest about there being no Brimmo in the name for this season, something to do with entries already submitted to FA competitions I believe.

Quotey thing doesn't seem to want to work - I'm replying to the posts on MK Dons/AFC etc. I moved to Yorkshire in 2004 but still support Town and Tottenham (but haven't been to Town game for ages...) . You don't change your club just because you move! I don't think that was the point being made anyway, I presume the point was that MK Dons are a franchise club and are widely regarded as not being the "real" Wimbledon: the sanctioning of their move and name change is seen by many as a dangerous precedent.
