Hi all ... just for interest ... those who brought the (one off final shirt) would you be un happy that this shirt will now be on general release ? as opinion is a little divided by some ... However those who brought the final shirt have the difference of the badge and additional inscription of the Final on it....and that will not be on the new shirt..

I personally ...love the new shirt that was worn..how do other feel..

cheers chris s.

I liked the look of the play off shirt, but I can understand the reasons for the club not having it next season.

- It was offered as a limited edition shirt. Those that have the shirt might not be pleased that is it is no longer.

- The club has effectively already lost out on sales if they kept the kit. Could perhaps get more from a new shirt.

- Cost is now limited the cost of play off shirt. Relates back to the first point, if you charged less those that paid more might be annoyed.

- Slough have lost in it!

Tom..its a collective decision ..or have you some inside infomation ? the question was hightlighted after a great debate at the Slough Suporters board meeting last night

and the reason behind my question to ask if people would be upset if the play off shirt was now taken up by the club for next season ! after the answer so far , most / everyone would like

the new shirt to become the first team kit for next season...and I am sure that the one with the insciption on them will remain the limit addtion by this ! and I for one - if Sue manages

to get a reduced rate for the general sales I for one would be most happy to reimburse those who feel they might have been charged extra ..this will amount too, maybe a couple of

pounds at the most...so let me know if this will be ok...so we can get a order through as quickly as possible or not !

kind regards chris s

No Chris I don't have any "inside information", those were just the thoughts I had which are in itself quite obvious.

If I had brought a shirt based on it being a limited edition shirt (see here) I wouldn't really be too happy finding it that only a few weeks later in reality that it wasn't. The rest is just pure economics. Those people who already own the shirt aren't likely to buy it again whereas if you release a new design they well might, on the flip side people might not like the design anyway.

I don't know, I'm not the one to make the decisions wink.gif

I think perhaps one summer it would be nice to give the fans an opportunity to choose the kit, perhaps provide 2 or 3 kits for a vote. In this one thread there are differing views - hoops, the play off kits or otherwise. I really liked the play off kit when I saw it against Chesham and personally would buy one. Don't forget not all fans views are expressed on this forum.

The limited edition shirts will always be limited edition by the nature of the date etc. that is embroded onto them along with the players sweat!

I have one of the breast cancer pink shirts, and if the pink shirt were to say become the away shirt then I would have no problem with that as I will always have the original with the breast cancer logo etc.

Stop fannying around and get the play-off shirts lined up for this season as there is a masive support for them and they will sell like hot -cakes.

What is more important is who will be the shirt sponsor this year as that is where the real income from shirts comes from - is Hammer continuing this year?
