Really glad Chenns is staying for another season I am sure he could've have played at a higher level if he wanted to. I hope some others stay with him too.

To the players who go onto a higher level. All the best.

Yes really chuffed that he is staying too, i admire his sensible mindedness in regards his progression in the game when so many players jump up too high a level too soon.

If he is good enough for league football the offers will come in a season or two. My own feeling is every player has their level, for me Michael's level is probably conference national.

That is not to say maybe he could play league two, but i think he could still stand out as a great player. Lets face it he could easily play for clubs like staines or maidenhead right now if he wanted to.

I agree with humpty all the best to those players who go on to other clubs, hopefully at a higher level if not then staying put with us.Can't wait for the season to start now with so many new sides to play, can't say i was looking forward to the likes of sycob and afc hayes again.

He may well be able to play at a higher level but dont you think players at Prem level/conf south level who are getting 20 plus a season are going to be looked at first rather than a player at one level above one man and his dog leagues?

Not necessarily, we have had scouts down at Windsor before due to the fact they hope to pick up a player cheap that they can develop. Conf players and teams will expect more than a player in the lower echelons football when the "Big Boys" come sniffing.

i would also not be sure how much better off a player going from Conf to football league would be, can't imagine the wages being that much better than a decent Conf side.

could be that Chenns is just happy at Windsor and enjoying playing, for some players that can outweigh a small increase in money!!!!

Fuzzy,

If I remember correctly Mrs Chennels told me at the Bracknell game that Chenns has another year at Uni and he is doing very well and that he would most probably stay local for another season. After that who knows. I am sure he would have had some requests from other clubs. I am really glad he is staying though.
