Attendance League Table

I would say there are 2 reasons which come to mind immediately, that is the change of league and the resulting loss of some more local games including the Windsor derby and secondly the location of Holloways Park. I think the later has a bigger effect. With the ground where it is the club misses out on potential walk in and local supporters like at Wexham Park. Hopefully the new ground whenever that might happen, will improve this. Beaconsfield is not a football town, proven by their own attendances.

On another note the clubs lack of "marketing" undoubtedly has an effect. The summer prior to the 08/09 season the club placed itself in the Observatory and distributed fixture lists and other material, the club did not follow this up the summer after. It's not unreasonable to perhaps expect an increase in attendance because of the marketing.

Hopefully the club will do this again this summer as the World Cup, particularly a successful one from an England point of view, would be the perfect vehicle to market against.

Only time will tell what will happen with regards to next seasons attendances.

This brings me back to the suggestion I raised earlier about the Crystal Palace game and some kind of leaflet drop in the centre of town or in one of the shopping malls on the day of the crystal palace game.

We could also all half price entry for people with a leaflet??

This is based on the fact that Holloways park will be ready by then

Further to this, all of the matches against sides that have a large following were postponed from the Saturday afternoon to a Tuesday night. This drastically reduced the number of supporters they would have brought with them

I have to agree with Horsham Rebel..we lost 3/4 of our biggest games from a saturday to a tuesday / re arranged games on some bitterly cold nights.. of course the fact we are not in our own town is also a major problem too....but still respectable considering...

Tuesday night are also effected by the football on the TV ..if 20 people stay away , then this reflects on out attendences

Tom...your comment are noted and we are always looking for voulenteers to help in this mater....more people need to get out and promote us...maybe a few people can put a plan together

and bring this forward to the board...and see if we can get this off the ground...I will be in touch...

cheers chris s
