Yes I believe it is, a company which Hemel (ex Hitchin Manager) Colin Payne works for. They were responsible for Chesham's pitch last season I understand and we all saw what good nick that was in the play-off final.

Grass is now coming through on the pitch and the pitch looks very flat.

Concrete and holes have been dug for two new flood lights on the half way line.

Things look much improved providing its all ready for the season.

New photos of the ground looking good.

Just a couple of questions if anyone can answer them:

1) the new floodlights either side of the half-way line - are they of a better quality than the existing ones and if so will this make the brightness of the lights uneven on the pitch?

2) Do the new sprinklers cover the whole of the pitch?

I dont know anything about the quality of the floodlights but the sprinkler system does cover the whole pitch. To turn them on it has to be done manually but next season it ill be electrically operated and have a timer fitted.

Only asked the question about the new floodlights because the existing ones, I think, generated pretty poor lighting and to have a couple of new ones on the half-way line, to complement the old ones, just seems a bit odd.

However the ground work ..around the pitch and the spectator areas will need some work..and this will be the main aim this year

Due to the uneventful season under sweetman we had a game where we would see if anyone hit the Belvedere sign (above the main stand) and then last season we were good but the game kind of carried on (was the same company that sponsored beaconsfield).

Therefore although, myself and the guys we stand with may be sad it answers the question that the Beaconsfield sycob fc sign is new :)

Anything is better than what was there last season.
