I can only think of 2 possibilities.

 

1. The first book by an American to denounce slavery. (Mark Twains father owned slaves.)

 

or

 

2. It was written as Mark Twains recollections of his own childhood growing up in Mississippi.

Laster Polfus changed his name to Les Paul. He was a Blues musician and invented the solid body guitar in the 1940's. These were subsequently made by Gibson with his signature. The 'Les Paul'.

 

He also invented recording studio equipment and may have given his name to some of that stuff but I don't know everything.

Not really prepared so here's a quickie:

 

In 1951, the first biscuit factory was opened in the U.K. which was devoted to the exclusive manufacture of but one product. [For clarity, previously loads of different biscuits were made under single roofs.]
