it looks pretty real to me - would love to be proved wrong tho - hopefully we will get a statement from the club soon :(

It would have been better to keep the news within until we hear from the club, rather than letting the whole of non-league in on it just when Iain is trying to secure the signing of the better players available. Hopefully there's nothing to worry about. Certainly, from what we've been told lately, we're in far better shape than last summer. Sad that bad news gets more interest than good.

Could it be that whilst old debts and commitments to HRMC have been made and completed; new debtsin terms of payments due to hrmc this year have not been kept up to date and the cycle starts again ?

Hopefully i am completely wrong and as others suggest-an early statement is required to clarify.

I really can't see HRMC havinf any sympathy whatsoever in todays economic climate

Quick update here - we were already looking into the details and will hopefully have a statement later today. What I would say at this stage is that this isn't a major issue although I can appreciate what it might look like.

Just like the story of "The Old Barn"

There was nothing in it! TAXI

Whether this was a a mistake or not the fact that a supposed "Supporter" posted this issue is beyond belief, what did he and "he" and only he knows why he posted this think it would achieve. Nothing good would ever have come from this especially with IOC trying his hardest to sign/attract new players to the club to hopefully bolster our squad and make a push for a better position in the league than we have in the last two seasons - be interesting to hear what JJs reasons behind this recent mud slinging campaign ???

Rather than focussing on this specific incident, I would like to make my position clear. I don’t think it is helpful for anyone to post stuff that is detrimental to the club; particularly when it’s new news. And let’s be clear, there is more than one supporter that does this from time to time, so a witch hunt now would be bang out of order also.

People at the club are more approachable than they have possibly ever been. So if anyone sees an issue that could be construed as potentially harmful, contact the club – even the office - or me.

For a good 18 months we have been trying to improve how we communicate with supporters across all issues. I see part of my role as Press Officer as building on that and advising on comms issues. But, let me be clear, I will not be advocating we communicate everything, all of the time. Some things are frankly not for the public domain (as in any business) and we will continue to deal in facts first and not speculation.

As I said, if anyone does have an issue or a question, they can ask.

In the meantime, let’s all get behind the club and look forward to a successful campaign.

Oh, and that was a hell of a first day!

Baptism by fir i would say Steve and totaly agree with your points, however i think someone should on behalf of the club have a quiet word in the shell like of a certain "bringer of bad new", all too often this person casts aspertions on club its directors and chairman alike and someone needs to have a word with him.... maybe a friend.....

Whilst not being JJ or IS's biggest fans, i don't think in this instance you can be too critical of them ,when they are posting something which is in the public domain anyway.

The moderators have the choice to censor-and rightly imo chose not to.

In this instance, what about all the other "instances" Micheal. As Wellsie quite rightly states "contact the club with any issues and they will try to answer any questions" before the scare mongering becomes an issue. Whether this or any other issue is public knowledge even you have to agree that absolutely "no good" was intended or meant by bringing this point to the fore. JJ and IS (and Im being diplomatic here) have their own agendas and do seem to snipe at the club when ever and if ever they can with no other reason but to defame the club and bring about the wrong kind of debate on this and other forums (Facebook etc). As a true supporter of this football club I bemoan some of the goings on behind the scenes but as a business man its truly none of my goddamn business, as long as I get to see a game of football on a Tues/Sat with like minded friends then all is right with the world, but to trawl through the internet/forums/papers to find muck to spread about the club is extremely vindictive and uncalled for IMO.
