Well I for one would like to say thanks to Keith for all his hard work and the success he has bought to the club. I would like to wish him all the best in the future, I do honestly believe he will go on to bigger things. He is a great manager and a dam nice bloke too!

I would like to echo what Joel said. Keith did great things for the club on the pitch and did a lot of work for the club off the pitch which may have sometimes gone unnoticed by the masses.

The style of football plus the organisation and discipline that the players have shown since Keith & Jim took over (Dec 2007) is a testament to their ability to get the best out of a group of individuals.

I'm sure we're see the Keith & Jim partnership plying their trade at a much higher level one day.

Thanks for the memories and good luck in the future.

Of course i agree with the sentiments above. I just think those that run the club have made themselves look very silly by dragging it on. We need to start acting in a more professional manner.smashfreakb.gif

Best wishes to Keith and Jim for the future, I am sure they both will do well at their new club(s).

Not sure I agree with Windsorians sentiments over the clubs approach to this issue. Until everything is completely agreed and above board, I don't believe the club can do much more than they have..............However, I am sure we as a club will get flak for removing a manager that won us the league title, with the team only conceding 20 goals and 3 league defeats all season! Then again, economics are screwing many clubs at the moment.

'agreed and above board', it doesnt take weeks to come to that decision, only weeks to let the fans know.

Windsorian: you are totally correct

I have been saying that to you guys for the last year or so, but the penny never seems to drop.

You will never inspire confidence or increase revenue with this, the latest in a string of well documented [****!!****] ups

Whilst for me personaly his achivements have been somewhat undermined by the amount he had be given to spend i do hope the club can somehow carry on the drive and determination that he brought to the club with many things. I just hope the club can carry on the ethics he brought to the club on the pitch. Ie clean, hardworking and entertaining football. Certainly a big change from the disorganisation of the Simon Lane/Dave Carroll eras.

Good luck to him in the future i'm sure he'll get a job at a higher level before too long

Any ambitious manager will naturally try to get a big budget in order to get success. However if the chairman chose him he should have known there would have been a pressure on finances, for me when Simon lane went and we looked for a new manager, we know mudge applied but didn't get the job, he has obviously bidded his time and stayed with windsor in his other capacity and ended up getting the job anyway. For me he probably has more afinity with windsor and will if given time achieve steady progress for the club and its not going to break the bank.

The season could be interesting in more ways than one, we could either have a fight on our hands or Mudge and Byron could surprise a few people.

I think you will have a fight on your hands because of the following:

Players leaving to follow the exiting manager (yes this happens a lot at non league level)

Reduced budget

Increased travel costs

Inability to attract players of Southern Premier standard due to lack of contacts

I hope you do well, but I think you will be relying on a few teams having similar issues as stated above. Not a dig, just being honest

Yep. He's earned a shot at it at the very least and good luck to him in that. Hopefully he can build on the commerical side of things he's brought in.

Can i just add a big thanks to Jim 'theres been a murder' Melvin. A great assistant manager and nice bloke too. It's a real shame they didnt get a chance at the wycombe job and windsor stayed at a level where the club would need to strain itself to have a decent season!!

Yes i think it depends how much the budget will have been cut, was it far off what scotty wanted and they were arguing over small amounts or has there been a massive cut, if the latter then yes it will be difficult but not impossible, just as players would follow scotty in a step up im sure there are some young hungry players who would love to play for a newly promoted club. thanks for the best wishes.

Byrons last job was at Aylesbury united i think and he took over during the worst time in their clubs history, ask any aylesbury fan they only have admiration and respect for him, if it had not been for him aylesbury wouldn't have fullfilled their fixtures. Mudge's record had not been that bad he took them to a first round fa cup against aldershot town as well as the play offs, admittedly he did have a disapointing last season.

He is certainly a hardworking manager on the commercial side as well as the football, even driving the mini bussmilewinkgrin.gif

and he is at windsor because he loves the club and not chasing the money. So i wish him the best.

Windsorian- You seem to know alot for someone who when you joined the message board claimed he was fed up of premiership football. Fair play. Clearly been swatting up!

If what the club is saying is the truth then does anyone feel abit dissapointed Scotty hasnt stuck it out on a realistic budget?

I would just like to say a big thanks to Keith and Jim for the most enjoyable season as a Windsor follower! Good luck to both of them for the future and i for one will be keeping an eye on their careers. I find it sad that something could not have been done to keep them for another season but a club can only run on a budget it can afford. My main concern is that some of the squad will now leave which will be disappionting after such a great season. Good luck to the new managment team but i do believe they have a massive job on to keep us up!

Intresting appointments?

Mudge finished 6th from bottom in his last job

I think every windsor fan will snap your arm off for that right this second.
