I imagine there's plenty of room at the front, being Y fronts will be handy too.

Thatcher, the marmite PM, you either love her or hate her. I hated her with a passion.

Let's also be clear on one thing, Union Leaders cannot make their members strike, they have to agree to it in a secret ballot. If the majority of members support the strike and some members choose to work anyway, then they are scabs, end of. They are happy to enjoy the protection and benefits of union membership, but when it comes to the crunch, they abandon their colleagues and friends.

what is it with the working classes, they always feel like someone is out to get them.

Perhaps if some realised that you don't just have to go to work, join a union, get told what to do and when to do it and actually strive for more you might just get somewhere in life.

Look at that pratt bob crowe, just about sums unions and the idiots that run them up.

Lets face it,millions in this country are up in arms because they now have to pay a slightly higher rate of tax under the tories because, wait for it.....the tories believe that those who actually work hard for themselves shouldn't be hit with high taxes like they are under labour. Why should the people that work hard, make something of themselves pay through the roof for those that are just happy to poodle along in their own little world,or scrounge after the government, which lets face it,has been a walk in the park for thousands for the last decade

I spent all my working life in a unionised environment and because of it I now have an index linked final salary pension, a comfortable lifestyle, my own home, and much much more.

Thanks to the labour movement all my kids had a great, free education and are doing well for themselves, and my wife and son survived cancer, all thanks to a free and properly funded health service that was founded by the Labour party.

I owe the unions and labour movement everything, and Thatcher nothing.

There was a time I would have supported the strikers... but when I look at this particular event, I feel that my support is with the cabin crew etc of all the other airlines, and certainly not with the BA ones. They are the top of the tree in regards to these jobs, with perks etc that the others could only dream of.. but it wasn't enough for them.

I think this strike will be broken, and I also suspect that there are cabin crew etc of all the other companies looking at a potential job in the future.

The answer is not to bring BA cabin crew down to the level of other companies workers but to bring the rest up to the standards that BA staff and their union have fought for.

you and Rhodesy still have a stiffy for Maggie

Loosely - I'm sure we are not the only two, Britain owes a huge debt of gratitude to Margaret Thatcher, also if it hadn't of been for her the Falkland Islands would now be under Argentinian rule.

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to the rest of the British Necrophiliacs Party that they've got competition Cliffy.

Well you can't say that for certain can you? Any other prime minister would have been duty bound to protect it's citizens and sovereign rights. I expect you've heard they've found oil under South Georgia, what are the odds on the good old US of A discovering a past claim to the islands eh? Be interesting to see how the special relationship developed.

No Rhodesy, when balanced with destroying the fabric of community and society the only debt we owe Thatcher is the sort of residential health care she's condemned millions of pensioners to. I can't wait.

Os,what car do you drive mate????

Also i have been taken into hospital this morning and the service seems to be better now than it was last time I was here under tony Blair

I drive a Mazda but to be honest I'm not much of a flag waving patriot and if I had to choose between England winning the World Cup or Romford winning Rymans North next season it would be Romford every time.

Hope you get well soon though Toryboy.

There should never be a debate between club or country... as for the Strikes.. well the left wing nutters that are the SWP seem to have scored a massive own goal in their defence of the workers act... nothing worse than middle class idiots playing the working class revolutionary as a profession.
