shrimpers making out they didnt care about the 1 niller.. getting duffed up by the gills then 2 excellent performances against sluff n G and N i always miss all the action..

i think things are shaping up nicely for the season and the squad has real potential.. though naturally we will lose our first game of the season.. ;-)

Likewise I have missed all the action but from conversations it appears we may have with the blend of Ty and Jeff the mixture that has been missing since the loss of Stimmo and Tilly (but younger)

I would be more optomistic this pre-season than the last three

Actually the team is shaping up quite nicely CANV. Lots of passing along the ground and not so much of the long ball play we had to put up with under Gary Calder.

 

Yeah he's put together a good defence and the midfield is shaping up quite nicely. Danny Hockton looks sharp and the two Jones' are looking good. Got ourselves a new winger Marlon Patterson...actually, I could name the whole squad with few exceptions that have impressed. Looks as if we have the team we wanted for seasons.

 

Had a couple of defeats both 3 -1 at the hands of East Thurrock and Gillingham but I'm not too concerned about those. Pre season and all that. I know I couldn't resist posting the result here but ya know, friendly rivalry and all that!!!

 

I'm looking forward to the Canvey games. I think on present form, you'll find us a different prospect from the previous seasons...Actually, I'm looking forward to the season as a whole. Should be good.

excellent.. so riccay could be this seasons dark horse challengers then..or do you think you lack the squad depth currently?

only one more saturday to get thru before we get down to business again.. whats your opener we have b'stoke at home they always open the season brightly..

lets hope this heat eases up by sat week as well i much prefer watching footy when its cold

Welcome back Gazza nice to see you walking into the sunshine again

 

If Ricay stay with the style of play you refer to we can really look forward to meetings home and away this season

 

What are the chances of Rod pulling the cash cow out from under the new management team later on in the season
