Ashford Town (Mx) to have big budget

It would seem from this article that Ashford Town will have a larger budget this season than they had in the Premier division. This will be helped by the groundshare of Staines Lammas.

 

I would say this puts them as one of the favourites for our league next year???

the article states that Ashford were relegated last year, probably because of a reduced budget. Next season they will have to keep a tight grip on the purse strings and the playing budget will probably be slightly more than they ended up with last season.

 

So, although I expect Ashford to be a competetive team imo not one of the favourites.

Ashford's final budget last year was approx less than half what Slough's was this last season. Any modest increase will put them as just about able to survive in the new league. Slough have to be one of the favourites IMHO given the new constitution. Ashford though they are a great little club ,won't be troubling the promotion spots....
