Business Consortium for MFC

Am looking at putting together a business consortium for Margate and am looking for business people to join

 

A few of the basics are;

 

we meet once a month, you dont have to attend all the meetings as you will be put on a mailing list to keep you up to date

Looking at what we can do to raise funds for the club

Assist with Sponsorship

Anything else which can help the community

 

This will not cost you money but just time

Had a couple of you offer to help but at the moment I can only get a total of 5 business people interested.

 

Its not a runner with that number as you really need 10 to start it off

Does it have to be business people? There will be retired supporters who have time on their hands who might want to get involved. In your original message you say people won't be putting money in, so I'm not sure what the relevance of them being businesspeople would be. Otherwise it sounds very similar to MISA and I guess everyone who wants to lend a hand in that manner is already with them.<BR><BR><BR>

The ideal of the business group was to build good links with thanet business, sell advertising to them, get them to get on board and for everyone to put their heads together about fund raising for the club. At Whitstable it was amazing who is linked with who, and from this we got the main sponsors (kent Reliance) we also got the council on board and got a nice size grant, on top of this we have a firework night with charity football match and also a bands at the belmont this month

 

All this started with just 10 business people and because nothing in lumbered on just a few it makes it fun as everyone does their share

 

frustrating that this isnt happening at Margate but I have all the names and hopefully I will add to it over a period of time and re visit this idea
