Fund raising

Earlier this past season I said we needed a central area where fund raising activites could be better advertised, I understand that time to organise that sort of thing was short, would it be possible therefore to act during the summer. I do feel that a lot of donations, via raffles, shares, organised events etc have been lost because of the lack of visual "in your face" posters etc . My suggestion would be to put some sort of shop close to the entrance, The fans will still have money in their hands rather than in their pockets. I'm sure that small items such as scarves, hats. stickers would sell better in a more accessible location.

That is a great idea Derek. I'll make sure that comes to Cliff's attention immediately.

22 league games x £10 = £220, plus the possibility of a couple of home cup games = £250.

What about club match day membership? Monthly DD of say £30 throughout the whole year for entry to home games first, ressies, youth etc, programme, priority on away travel etc etc - I'm sure Cliff could find other ways of giving this value. I'd rather that than shell out all at once for the season ticket. Not without its problems (eg how to police those cancelling halfway through the year at the turnstiles etc), but worth a further look I feel.

More of a general question re: 'ease of payments'-but does the football club/supporters club have facility to take payment by debit/credit card?

I have a feeling it does'nt,but not sure.

Maybe the cost of setting up such a facility is prohibitive-or maybe with past history-the likes of streamline are relctant to do so.?

That given, if club does not/can not have the facility-does it have a paypal facility-easily set up-thus it opens the door at minimal cost to just a few more contributors.

I'm thnking in particulatr of Goalden Gate lottery-where you could then renew by debit/credit card on paypal

How about this for a fundraiser .

A 90min match Mfc squad v Surporters .

Any fan that wants a chance to pit there whits against the 1st team and play a match against there HERO`S should put there name into a hat with what they think would be a high enough bid to get into the squad . You could have places for say 32 fans which would mean 2 teams of 11 and 2 sets of 5 subs = 32 . Each 11 and 5 subs play one half against the 1st team plus a chance for squad and players to get to know each other . You could have another twist and ask Iain to manage the Surporters teams and again the highest bidder from the fans side gets to manage the 1st team . Just a thought but could be a fun day . The bar could be open the burger bars open and maybe other attractions there as well . You could even have a Boot fair in the morning but run that into the footy match to keep people there as well .
