Next Season's Reserves

I personally think that the reserve team should be run as a reserve team and not have involvement by u 18's unless they are good enough to play at 1st team level which really only Jason Holmes, Ryan Warren, Tom Riley and Kieron Sauboorah would have been. Players in the reserves should be made up of 1st team reserves / trialists. The manager of the reserves should be someone brought in by Steve and Del who can work closely together to keep a very strong squad together and have players knocking on the 1st team door thus keeping 1st teamers on their toes. Last season's reserves didnt fulfill what a reserve team should be and wasn't made up how it should have been.

Lets hope the structure changes with Steve and Del overseeing a manager of their choice.

Dunno, but I can't help but agree totally with Fan-tastic's last line.

 

I agree that the first team manager should have the final say on the reserve team manager then that way the reserves should play and have the same attitude as the first team to aid the step up and give a true view of the players suitability for the position.

 

But Tony did a great job for us and that can't be overlooked.

i think that the reserves should be a reserve team but the lads should not be overlooked and as for all these people who never come to reserve games how do they know the team and the lads so stop talking rubbish and talk about things that you know or come to a few reserve games
