:welcome: lets have a few

Or many. Jeez, if we might be groundsharing again, at least let's hear the views from the most regular fans. We're bound to disagree - given, you know, rivals - but things like groundshare are of mutual interest and whether the fans want it or don't want it, I think we should be allowed to talk about it. It's got to be better for the club officials to actually hear what the activist crowds have to say?

My personal stance is that it should be OK so long as we have the quality groundsman back again. the first year with Bedfont we were fine (apart from that one patch where the sprinklers weren't working so well), but this year the pitch has only just held up and I think Windsor suffered more since we normally have such a passing game.

Other than that I liked having Slough playing at the Meadow, I could hear the chants from my house :) and we did seem to get bigger crowds on both sides. That's surely the key point, where do most fans actually turn up?

A shame we won't have a derby game, though, groundshare or not.

Well it wouldnt be closed season if there wasnt some sort of off the field issues at Slough! :smashfreakb:

From my own personal point of view i'd rather Slough didnt come back to Windsor. Not because i dont want them there but we all know where the money will go into that black hole called wages! IF the Slough rent and tea hunt/bar takings was spent on improving the ground it would be a win-win deal if it was at a good price for Slough.

I welcome any groundshare if we are happy to do so. The income is welcome whatever the money goes into. I thought the pitch held up very well last year with 2 teams playing on it so can't see it being a problem next season.

I don't think the money will go completely into wages next season. Money may need to be used to make sure the ground is up to standard for the step up. We may need some money for wages but players do need to be paid. If the ground doesn't need upgrading why can't we use the money on players to at least keep us in the premier if we are not contending for the title. I would be happy to finish 5th from bottom next year if it mean't we can stay in the premier for another season. As long as the money is used sensibly and is monitored I can't see it being a problem.

Plus you don't know who will be at the club next year. Scotty and some of the players may progress to another level so we will need to fill those boots.

Dan, you say "but this year the pitch has only just held up and I think Windsor suffered more since we normally have such a passing game" but we only lost one game at home last season so I would say we didn't suffer at all.

All this speculation for next season is great and the seaon has only just finished :)

On another note do you think we could get a friendly against Totton lol

I thought the VT team and players conducted themselves excellently when they were at our place what about a friendly against them.

I am also still waiting for "The Batlle Royal" friendly gainst Reading to happen :)

Those blinkers must be starting to irritate by now Woody, coz your narrow mindedness on the subject of finances is becoming as interesting as a Kevin Blackwell team talk! Wanting nothing more to do with the club should mean that surely? and therefore no need to make any comment?

Ground improvements (continuing ground improvements I should add), redecoration and some cosmetic work is well in advance of the planning stage, some considerable investment has been made in materials since season end already, and Supporters of the club who have time and the enthusiasm are welcome to volunteer their services for any of the jobs on the list.

The first planned "work day" for Supporters is Saturday 12th June 2010 - although I suspect there will be jobs to do long before then. So, if you want to help then send an email to Webmaster or the Supporters Club (wefcsc09@yahoo.co.uk).

Wood - every penny raised by the Supporters Club thus far has been and will be going back into the club in one form or another - and not into anyones wage packet directly.....does that not make you feel just a little bit happier??!!

I think anyone posting concerned about where our money goes is forgetting that Peter kept us afloat and been with us through some bad times and testing times. HE has pumped money into a club he clearly has storng feelings for and the club itself is on the up in many ways. I would trust his judgement of what to do with the money without question. Slough sharing was, and would be, by far the best ground sharing option. the old threads about Slough having many more fans trhan Windsor is for a good reason, they do, so if they come to Windsor and spend their money in the bar and therefore help us financially, then great. I would say in total we had as many games called off at stag meadow as at least two thirds of the teams in the league so it wasn't all about Windsor having a poor pitch.

I would also agree with humpty we need to stay up, and money will need to be spent to do this, whether the wage bill will have to increase I don't know, but if you want to play at a higher level you need good players, I think we have those players in our current squad and definitley a starting eleven good enough to compete att the top of the premier. unfortunately we also have players who can compete at a much higher level and there is only so long they will stay if only fro their own betterment.

We shall see, but a bit of excitement in the close season, keeps us going....

The supporters club does excellent work with limited money and manpower but there is only so many licks of paint that can be done! I wont help this year. Afterall last year i made more mess than anything!

P.S Kevin Blackwell team talk? I doubt he's ever held one.

Looking in from the outside, the only thing Peter has ever done wrong is be too nice. He needs to learn to say NO. Then there wouldn't be the problems there has been.

That said, that man has Windsor running through his veins and only does what he believes is right for the club. EVERY club needs a guy like him.

Fatboy perhaps you are right but apparently the current management team actually told Peter to lower the wage bill to what it is now!

Makes a mockery of people claiming in the past we wasnt paying high wages!

However Peter Simpson has done more for WEFC than anyone and he can do with it as he wishes. I just dont wish to be part of a small scale Truro and it goes against what i thought non-league was about. Turns out it has more in common with Football league than we'd all like to admit at certain clubs!
