Chris
Looks like the windsor forum is as dead as ever and has had to resort to talking about snooker and music, or they come sticking their nose in on here. So thank you for that comment windsorian, and now f88k off back to the windsor forum and try and get someone on there to talk to you. Just a reminder that this is an open independent forum where everyone is welcome, Slough fan or not. Edited May 8, 2010 by Chris
Staines-upon-Thames Rebel
But I did not lock any threads or stop their comment! The locking of the threads was done by a club official.
Reading Rebel
But I did not lock any threads or stop their comment! The locking of the threads was done by a club official. Obviously done in the best interests of the club which we should all fully support.

windsorian
Thought i would take time to post on here for the last time and explain a few things. Firstly most forums i have seen on the internet are either lively which allows plenty of debate and a respect for the rules and generally good natured, others fall into the closed bracket which are club only and are quite boring so not worthwhile, despite the banter both the windsor and slough forums have been very interesting with lots of football talk and despite the rivalry are nothing which falls into the nasty category. When a request goes out not to talk about a subject i.e possible groundshare i can respect that if negotiations are going on, so it might be helpful to show some discipline and refrain from making comments, can't see anything wrong with that. Lastly apologies if any of my comments have been out of order, thought they were generally banter or at worst mickey taking, i remember a few run ins with windsor rebel but over the last season i have found him to be generally a good sort and for reasons i wont go into on here i respect. the same with staines rebel, i dont mind being told to **** off back to windsor forum in fact i had a good laugh, all in a day on the forum, anyway as i say last post on here, if i am to be criticised from someone for hiding behind being anon then so be it, my name is there for all to see windsorian, windsor ian get it,even if people dont know me i dont know most of the people on here either. genuine good luck for next season, wether you are at sycob or stag meadow. Staines-upon-Thames Rebel
Thanks for that Windsorian, I did not know any of that, your posts are always informative, I wish I was as bright as you, I look forward to spending some time on the Windsor site now that I have been told that anyone is welcome on any forum. This new happy clappy world we live in must have something to do with the election where all the parties are each others best mates - or is it now a censored world where threads are locked and fredom of discussion is banned, maybe its a hanging parliment? Tom
There is no "heavy handedness" involved. The club have made a request and it has been adhered to. Yes this is an unofficial forum, but if the club wants to make a request with regards to certain, sensitive subjects we respect it. I think you will find the myself and the other moderators on this forum are fairly liberal on what they let go. If you are not happy with the decisions taken you don't have to post on this forum at all. There is an attitude by certain members that because they are using a keyboard and sitting behind a screen they feel it is right to abuse and attack other users which I'm pretty sure they wouldn't do in public. Now please, play nicely and respect the wishes of the club. Thread closed.
