Steve Easterbrook would be making a serious mistake of moving to Windsor.

How many times did the floodlights fail at Windsor - even this season just gone they were reliant on a generator - SYCOB's have only gone down once and that was due to the whole of Beaconsfield having a power cut.

How much cover is behind the goals - good covered terraceing at one end at SYCOB, none at either end of Stag meadow - I did offer to contribute to covering at Windsor and was not taken up on my offer!

SYCOB has pleanty of parking and is right next to the motorway junction, Windsors car park is full of dog walkers or you have to park away from the ground and risk your life crossing the road.

The bar at windsor is in an old hut - Beaconsfield have a purpose built bar.

The changing rooms are modern and have a proper segrigated entrance to the pitch at Holloways park - Stag meadow has more huts leading out over the rocks to the pitch.

As for the the welcome at Beaconsfield it is always warm and open - Windsor are only after cash with this offer.

The answer is easy - stay at Holloways park.

Seems to me that one or two people have a real thing about Stag Meadow! So reasons for not staying at Beaconsfield - lousy pitch, no cover at all for those of us who prefer to stand at the sides, only cover behind one goal, no terracing on 2 sides, Heavy Trucker spends more time on the motorway retrieving the ball, no real ale in the bar, stuck in the mud in the "car park", step 4 ground, takes ages to get up the Farnham Road from Ascot, blah blah blah.

I'll take whatever the club decides, but let's get off Windsor's case, at least they've got some supporters to get up our collective nose.

Our aspirations are to be promoted, a better pitch gives us more of a chance, more supporters are likely back at Windsor which gives us more income.

Whenever I speak to anyone from the area, who "used to follow" the Rebels in the glory days it's rare that they know where we play, in fact they usually think it's still Windsor!

The answer is easy choose the best option for the club.

Sensible post Bernie and from the clubs perspective if you can get a good deal why not, SR points out windsor only want the cash, of course we do but dont sycob too, ask yourselves what has sycob given you in three seasons apart from a friendly welcome, have they spent money which benefits you or your team on the field.

Unfortunately some supporters are looking at what benefits them most, whats good for my kids, or dislike for windsor etc but are not looking at it from a business point of view, your crowds will continue to fall at sycob, at windsor you will get at least 100 more and have a better chance of going up. One last thought, i wonder how many players at your club will stay next season and the manager if you stay at beaconsfield.

some good points bernie but i for one would rather spend my time dodging the cars on the A355 ( not the motorway ) collecting wayward shot balls than trying to recover them from dog muck infested fields much better the danger you can see than the one you may miss or step in i have never been stuck in the parking area because it was muddy , must be some of the dodgy driving techniques i have learnt as a professional driver, i have had more problems getting out of the windsor carpark than i ever have at beaconsfield. and as you say the people who used to support slough still thought we were playing in windsor, that means that they never even went to windsor to find out that we know play else where , so what makes you think that they would come to support us if we went back? as for the farnham road ( i take it you live in ascot which is eaier for you to get to windsor ) you will be in a car so a slight diversion through the trading estate is no real physical effort and will add only a little timeto your journey, but also the journey for those of us that live in sloughalong the windsor and eton bypass is at most times a nightmare before and after the game and i presume that most of us live in slough that is a lot of nightmares, it also seems strange that bedfont green seemed to have the same complaints that we hadwhen we left stag meadow ,playing surface general conditions etc. no i think the best thing for us to do is stay where we are and push on for our own ground to be built make the council keep their promises, most of the other larger projects in slough are getting the ok to go ahead it is about time that they got off of their backsides and got the i's dotted and tht t's crossed we have waited for long enough , it is time for the clubs commitee, the backroom staff and steve see some reward for all their hard work.

On what basis would we get 100 more at Windsor? Our crowds might have fallen to similar levels had we remained at SM given the drop down the divisions. As for not considering it from a business perspective it's perfectly acceptable to express an opinion based on individual circumstances. At the end of the day I trust Steve Easterbrook to make the right 'business' decision and if that's SM then so be it. Doesn't mean I have to like it though.

You ask what have SYCOB given us other than a friendly welcome? I could ask what did W&E give us at all. Even a friendly welcome wasn't on the list.

Ian, can I ask you who it is you had a problem with in terms of the 'friendly welcome' as we received nothing but praise from a lot of your people regarding the bar and tea hut staff [who were the only Windsor people you would have had contact with on match day] and also, please remember, that when big games like Walsall came along there were a number of extra Windsor personnel helping out on the day because your own club couldn't provide enough volunteers?

Or is the problem you are on about actually the views of a minority of opposing supporters who, by the nature of football, will voice dislike against anything to do with their near neighbours and use public forums to hide behind anonymity while they slag each other off?

If you don't want to answer on a public forum you can always PM me but I am genuinely interested in your answer!

Windsorian, most of the current players and manager live north of Beaconsfield/midlands so I would imagine staying at Beaconsfield with the motorway links to the north as opposed to a longer journey to Windsor (not to mention the big possibility of a move to the south & west division) would be their preferred option.

Get the playing surface at Beaconsfield right and it really is a no brainer.

Now heres a quick measure of why it is better at Beaconsfield than Windsor - how many times have SYCOB come on here stirring it, compared to windsorian and co spending more time on here than the windsor forum?

Unfortunately Staines, SYCOB don't even go on there own forum let alone come on ours!
