Congratulations to Aston Clinton FC who won the Div 2 Cup Final last night. This capped an excellent season for them and I would like to congratulate the whole team and management.

 

Congratulations to all at Aston in what has been a fine season, im sure in any other year they would have run away with that league.........

We nearly did the double, and made it to the semi's of the Challenge Trophy and Berks and Bucks really is not a bad season all in all.

However maybe even harder in Div 2 next year if Edgeware and Winslow come back we will have to see.

That is a a good way to progress out of Div 2 but nobody's answered my initial question, does anyone know?

It's not a Spartan South Midlands Rule. It's an FA one. Clubs are not permitted to apply for promotion to Step 6 or above unless they already play on a suitably graded ground BEFORE they win the league/ finish in a promotion position. And I understand that the Ryman League for one are getting fed up with groundsharing, so things may change again.
