STAG MEADOW

Swings and round-a-bouts I think.

I still don't think Windsor's pitch is that good, especially when you take into account Bedfont had games cancelled off more often than not after Windsor had played last season. Some of the Bedfont fans recently kicked up a huff about Windsor not looking after the pitch for them. A move to Windsor could also see Slough swap leagues into the South & West.

On the other hand, I think in terms of attendance a move to Windsor would be more beneficial than staying at Holloways park which is quite frankly a nightmare to get to.

Whatever is best for the club at the end of the day financially.

I heard that rumour too, you are more than welcome

Could be good for both clubs, the BG situation regarding the pitch would be different i think as slough have more hands on support at their club, thats not to say we don't have a responsibility. Hope it happens and you stay before you move back to slough. Hopefully a sensible rent will be offered this time round :smashfreakb:

Hopefully this is not true as facilities not good at Stag meadow at least at Beaconsfield the clubhouse and changing rooms are modern you have that old clubhouse which needs a lot of work

I hope Steve Easterbrook has more sense. I'm sure he does. Terrible facilities, no covering behind the goals, no character and no atmosphere. Plus judging by comments from Bedfont Green fans Windsor still haven't learned to be particularly hospitable towards their tennants.

Without being disrespectful sycob is hardly a hotbed of football atmosphere, i think you will find that BG were happy until some numpty on our forum suggested that they had been late with their rent which wasn't true, and frustration at getting a couple of games called off in which there wasn't a lot that could have been done. Can't believe that some of you would rather see your team play on what can only be described as a ploughed field at best :wtf:

Well everyone has their preference, I for one will go wherever the Rebels play, but have to admit Stag Meadow is a better ground with better viewing (terracing all round) and pitch plus we are likely to get more spectators.

BSYCOB has been great to us, but the pitch has truly been awful this season (our respective home/away records bear this out). It also has the feel of Step 4, whereas the likes of Hitchin, Windsor, Chesham have the feel of a higher level, which of course they have been and once again are for the latter 2.

Windsor will benefit for sure from the extra income and no doubt it will help to sustain Premier football for them. It could be a win win for both clubs.

I agree with Ian the thought of helping you lot financially does not make me jump for joy. As for the pitch, rather a ploughed field than a soulless garden lawn.

Windsorian, I've been away for a bit so haven't seen a home game for a month, but last I saw our pitch was suffering from 2+ teams playing on it, and for sure with all the rain over winter it wasn't doing our pace players any favours... I did also hear we'd regained the quality groundsman, mind, so it could be perfect again after a summer break, but I do think we could do with a season of just us using it.

Of course it was superb by the start of the 2008-09 season, once both the watering and drainage were sorted out and the trench vanished :) Be nice to get back to that!

Only other thing, also; it seems to work well to manage both teams ground-sharing in the same division, but I don't know about a level apart, even if we're in the Southern Premier - still less the Isthmian as discussed earlier. So it might be a real pain for Slough if they were playing at the Meadow, since as tenants they'd be pushed to Sunday on every fixture clash and I don't know if they can match the fixtures so easily across levels (and maybe divisions).

But personally, I'd welcome Slough returning if they wanted to.

also if we got moved to the South and West we could be looking at losing a fair few of our players who are based in the Midlands division area more than the S&W

don't care where Slough play tbh if its Windsor its Windsor if its Beaconsfield its Beaconsfield.

Neither ground is perfect but both grounds have about the same 'soul' as the other if you ask me. If you could get a deal worth the same amount to what you pay now i'd snap Peter Simpons arm off due to the likely hood of getting more fans to pop down.

Woody i see you have changed your name, how come it still says you support WEFC ? Really can't understand you have protested about the wrongs of money in the non league game and yet you are following a championship team isn't that worse, please try and explain it to someone who has supported WEFC for 49 years how you can walk away from a club you supposed to have loved :smashfreakb:

I would not like to move to windsor, the reason for me is not because windsor is bad or beaconsfield is good.

Its simple.

If we move back to Windsor we move back into South and West and then will lose most of our team and we will be back to square one again.

I want to see us keep the nucleas of this team and build on it for a proper title challenge next year

I do not want to go back to Stag meadow either, its been lovely these last couple of years working with people that actually want us there, cant stand the thought of going back to all the cutting and snide comments on both web sites to be honest.

Also from a selfish point of view the club shop is not big enough to swing a cat in and there is also a certain person involved with Windsor that I would not give the time of day to.

Also, don't forget we have been told that Beaconsfield are going to spend 30k on improving the pitch for next season.

I hadn't realised that nuclear bombs were that cheap!!

Should be greatful to both teams for the opportunity to groundshare. What however would make up for play-off disappointment would be some positive news on the ground. Gone very quiet all of a sudden which is worrying after some positive news late last year.

From what I gather Midlands or South & West, or North & South division won't effect players staying on or not.

Now Rothwell have resigned from the Southern League, the Mike Avery suggestion moves Abingdon and North Leigh from D1S&W to D1M or adds Cinderford and Yate Town to these two in a D1 North, but still leaves Uxbridge in D1 S&W or D1S?
