Four Wins Out Of Four. What Do We Think So Far?

Okay, we're still in pre season friendly mode but it does look as if something is taking shape down as New Lodge. After last nights game, which was a tougher affair than our previous three pre season friendlies, I came away thinking that Justin is putting together a pretty good team.

 

On the whole, they look all look as if they want to play hard, entertaining football. I shall not name names but I think we have some players out there that will "show" for The 'Ricay quite nicely this season and I look forward for 16th August when the real season starts.

 

So what do we, the supporters think so far? Come on lads, give your opinions (but please, lets keep the comments reasonable and leave out the unfair criticism).

I reckon things are going pretty well so far - Justin set out to put together a talented young squad, and I reckon he's on his way to achieving that. I'm not going to get carried away, the blight of the Calder years was inconsistancy and only time will tell if Justin can avoid that, but I certainly don't think we can have any complaints about the first 4 pre-season games! There's still room for improvement and I would suggest room for a couple more players perhaps (a pacy striker would be top of my list).

Nice try at spelling 'inconsistency' (sorry couldn't resist that), and of course I'm opening myself up to any typos in future.

 

I am very encouraged at the progress of this squad under Justin. From being suicidal at the end of last season, I believe the squad is better than the one that started last season. That's all to do with the respectability that Justin has brought to the club, fairplay for ignoring the Manager merry-go-round. I am trying not to get carried away but I'm now looking at a top six finish.

I have to say things are shaping nicely. He said he was going to put together a good squad of youngsters and he did that. As for the results they dont really matter as freindlies are for getting players fit, gelling the side together and looking at trailists
