Another Trophy for the cabinet

South & West Division Fair Play award winners and the lowest points scorers across all three Zamaretto League divisions.

I might be a bit old fashioned but that means a lot to me considering the discipline issues we've had in the past - well done lads !

Agreed, that's really worthwhile news. I think the players should be really proud - we've seen them keep their tempers under some really harsh provocation at times this year, and support each other too, the difference has been very visible.

Where is it reported, though - I don't see it on the main site? (nor indeed ours).

Thats because I knew nothing about it.

Not getting at you, Mal... I just can't find where we got it. Although I suppose it could be calculated over the season...

Dan, yes it is calculated over the season and I do believe it appeared in the programme several times during the course of this season as it's published in the weekly league bulletin sent out to clubs by the league. As there will be no more programmes I thought it would be a good idea to publish the news on here for our supporters to see!

Below is the information as published:-

It just goes to show that dedication and giving 100% doesn't have to result in over the top tackles and losing control. Well done to the lads, and also to Jim and Scotty for instilling such discipline.

Interesting to see that all four teams in both Div 1 who got 100 points or more are in the top six of their respective fair play awards but only one of the top 5 teams appears in the premier. Maybe a little more cynical in the Premier, I guess we will find out next season.

I was thinking that, and indeed note that every team in both lists was midway or better in their league - also true in the Premier, except for Rugby who came rock-bottom... so overall, it does seem that the better teams also play more cleanly. Nice, too, that the League tracks and recognises this.
