Loosely - Er, no because we weren't ever married. All I'm saying is that Cowell can have his choice of the World's most beautiful women so why Mezhgan Hussainy of all people, why not a British rose for example.

All I'm saying is that Cowell could have easily found a British rose to finally settle down and have children with as opposed to a refugee who fled her native Afghanistan following the Soviet invasion

Just for the record I was under no illusion that Mezhgan Hussainy had anything to do with Rhodes other half! Or Simon Cowell. The Welsh Male Choir perhaps but I'm not going there.

Loosely - You have a strange sense of humour but getting back to the topic of this thread, surely you must have raised your eyebrows when you heard that Simon Cowell had got engaged to a refugee who fled her native Afghanistan by way of a ten day trek over the Khyber Pass following the Soviet invasion and, along with her parents and three brothers, spent nine months in a refugee camp in Pakistan before incredibly being allowed to move to America where her father supposedly had relatives.

Not really Rhodes. She looks a gorgeous girl, couldn't really be bothered where she comes from as it's nowt to do with anyone but them. Pleased for Cowell as I've seen, read and heard that he has another side altogether from his persona on X Factor and BGT and I hope they are very happy. Probably won't be an easy life for them together with work that takes them apart but at least they'll never be homeless.

Well obviously not with Cowell's millions however Hussainy has recently set up the so called 'Faraway Foundation' for the women and children of Afghanistan in order to help rebuild schools and hospitals in the war torn Country however you can bet your bottom dollar that Cowell's millions will be ploughed into her project whereas he should set his sights closer to home and be helping, for example, Great Ormand Street or Help for Heroes.

According to today's Daily Mail it's unsurprisingly all over bar the shouting for Simon Cowell and Mezhgan Hussainy. Mezhgan was nowhere to be seen at Ascot this week or when Cowell accepted his prestigious lifetime achievement award from Bafta two weeks ago, furthermore she was conspicuous by her absence at the after party of American Idol, the show on which she works as a make up artist, and where her 'intended' (Cowell) was making his last appearance as a Judge. She also didn't travel back with him to the UK afterwards so I think we can take it as read that Cowell has wisely seen the light before Mezhgan really gets her claws into him, bleeds him dry or accidently on purpose gets pregnant.

I see that Mezhgan Hussainy has left Simon Cowell's side in Britain and returned to her Los Angeles base saying she needed 'time out' to be with her family. According to friends of the couple who were originally expected to marry this summer, following Cowell's proposal on Valentine's Day, there is still no wedding date and Mezhgan has tearfully told her own circle of friends in Los Angeles that the relationship is 'on the rocks' due to Cowell's closeness to his ex girlfriends such as Jackie St Clair and sexy

songstress Sinitta. I think the real reason is that Simon Cowell has seen the light.

Mezhgan Hussainy has once again rejected rumours that she has split with Simon Cowell, pathetically insisting that she is still engaged to the music mogul. A 'confidante' said that Cowell has become increasingly cool towards his relationship with Hussainy and even disclosed that 'it was definitely over'. Hussainy however, who apparently still lives in Cowell's 4m, 11,500 sq ft, Beverley Hills mansion, off the Sunset Strip, said 'i still love him and he says he still loves me, we are still engaged as far as I know'. She unconvincingly went on to say 'we've been apart for a while, of course I miss him as it's not easy being apart, even one day apart is hard when you are in love but he's got his work in England and I've got mine here in Los Angeles'. Hussainy said that she was aware of speculation that the couple had broken off their engagement but said 'i don't know where these stories are coming from, it's as if when you're engaged you can't spend a moment apart or people think you've broken up, that's nonsense, we are still in love and still planning on getting married, I am still living here as you can see, I miss Simon but we speak on the phone three or four times a day'.
