Thanks for clearing that up. It is goodbye "The Park" hello Stag Meadow for now. And thanks to Mr Simpson, a gent trying to make Slough fans feel welcome.

So Mr Deaner is under no obligation to talk to the papers. He ought to be!

Well at least that's sorted out at last & we have another season to look forward to. I agree we owe a big thank you to Mr. Simpson for not only offering us a home, but working out how to deal with Deaner. Give him a deadline & stick to it, not falling for any of his 2 more weeks rubbish.

It is sad to leave Wexham Park, but perhaps the distance from the Thornes will allow some breathing space to sort our problems out. ( Sorry got my August optimistic head on). Having siad that I'm not holding my breath waiting for the council to come riding ro our rescue.

 

Hopefully now we can concentrate on football side of things and getting promotion. From what I saw Tuesday we could have a useful side this year (ah, that August optimism again) if we can get someone up front to convert the chances.

Dear Mr Deaner

No doubt you are wondering where the gratitude is for you (if it was you) stumping up for Windsor and that our thanks go instead to Mr Simpson there.

Well just consider the money a wages deduction for poor time=keeping and unsatisfactory performance, failing on customer service in particular.

Just a few questions, which no doubt you are not obliged to answer as they come from us peasants.

Are you or are you not the chairman of STFC? If not, who is?

Does FRUS exist still or not? If not what has replaced it?

Who is 'running' STFC? Who is the manager?

What happens about the money owed to the Thornes? Not that we care about them , we just don't want it to boomerang back on the club.

What is this September 8 council business about?

Has Mr Simpson mentioned how he sits down regularly with the fans and openly discusses club business, what truthfully can and can't be done?

Or that he chats to the papers to keep people informed?

Are there any lessons to be learnt???????????????

My main concern is not that we will never return to Wexham Park, because deep down somehow I feel we will, but it's how many Slough fans will watch the Rebels when Slough Town does return to Slough? Will we see the crowds of 400-ish repeated or will it dwindle even further?

<img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> hi matt dave here. to me i think the chances of getting back to wexham are i suppose possible even deaner thinks so over hearing gossip at the game on saturday. i hope the gossip is good news for i think i need it. dissapionted but not shocked obout the canvey thrashing us but thats history and we all need to come back to earth and reality and try and provail at windsor at least for the short term. never know we could find a deicent chunk of land somewhare in slough which could be to my advantage. other clubs have done this and survived in pastures new ie bishops stortford so why not us. hopefully see some of you at maidenhead tommrow night cheers

If programme seller Dave is bared from Official duties as programme seller at Stag Meadow I fear this will affect crowds even more. Many fans only attend Slough games to buy from 'Fun rebel dave'and enjoy his enthusuastic tales of away travel!!
