here they all come chaps. the ambulance chasers.

we were never in it. didnt think we could win it, neither did the players

gutted.

I do tend to agree. Concord came out with a mission and struck twice whilst they had their purple patch. We were very slow off the mark. I think the Tuesday 'Buzz' was a little too much for some of the players and were, shall we say, hung over somewhat from the euphoria of the Semi Final victory.

Saying that we rattled Concord in the first 20 mins of the second half, getting a deserved penalty and should have possibly been awarded another shortly after the first.

But the last 20mins saw us unable to to break down the Concord defence and were grateful for Rob's excellent two saves from Lyle Taylor to keep us in the hunt for an equaliser.

Not to be as they say and certainly no hard luck story just was'nt to be.

We'll look forward to a Cup Final on Monday in Hampton and hope by freshening things up with those who left were left out today will give us the impetus to lift a piece of silverware in our last game of the season.

Just a perverse thought though, imagine all the lost Ryman Premier bar revenue at Brimmo, in our failure to win today, looks like were'nt the only loser's today.

I disagree! They bossed the first 20 mins and deserved an early lead but we pulled back and were very lose to going in 2-1 down at half time. We shaded the second half and if it hadn't been for an inept lino we would have gone 2-2. As far as I am concerned a draw at full time would have been about right but we were robbed of a chance at extra time. :zornig:

Hard luck today mate (and the rest of you)

Was a bit torn between who i wanted to win today as i like concord but also wanted you to go up as i think enfield town would be a benefit to the ryman premier league.

Hopefully we are on the right track at the moment but football has a way of smacking you in the head when you ain't looking so from now on i will take nothing for granted although i am confident in our future.

CAA i am also happy for dale as he is my mate lol but he aint yours lol

Good game of football today.

Concord took advantage of a slow Town start and got two goals ahead. Town came close to getting one back before half time, hitting the post. Second half pen gave opened up the game a bit, and if the second pen had been given it would have made an interesting finish, but Concord edged it on the day and no complaints.

Good luck to them next season in the premier!

Facts of todays game was that Blackburn was outstanding while brightleys Ar5se went when he brought down Stuart Blackburn for a Pen and certain Red Card, only for the Ref and Lino to bail him out.

Blackburn every time for me.

Unlucky boys, been following your results all season (didn't come as Worthing fans are bad luck for play offs! 3 in 3 semi final defeats).

It really hurts but hopefully you'll come back stronger next season. Sounds like you've a cracking set up down there and when the Donkey Dome swings into action, you'll have a home to be proud of.

Hopefully see you in the Cup/Trophy.

The Donkey Dome, sounds like that could be a catchy phrase.

Good luck in the cup final, it would be great and fitting that Del signs off with a win.
