Good stuff tonight I thought, Orient sent a youthful XI down which made for an entertaining game. We took a bit of time to get started but after the opening 10mins we looked solid. Created the better chances, with Russ Penn missing the best. Orient took the lead with a close range finish after hitting the post to go in 1-0 up at ht. Ansell nicked the equaliser soon after the restart then late on the impressive Hunter smashed home a free kick. With Hockton resting the knock picked up on tues it looked like our strongest available XI started the game:

Stick Hockton in there and I reckon that could be the team to face Aylesbury on August 16th.

 

As well as Hockton we had Patterson and Trenkel on the bench, giving us a bit of strength in depth.

I thought the performance was okay given that tonight was our stiffest test so far. There was certainly a game going on out in the park tonight!!! Especialy in midfield.

 

I was again impressed with Hunter and Jones tonight.

Thought the starting XI did really well, maybe would have preferred Marlon to Steve Jones, Russell was a bit wobbly in midfield but full of endeavour as usual. Even when Justin departed at half-time, his replacement, Dave Riddington?, had a solid second half. As has been mentioned , with Danny Hockton vying for a place looks like a good squad. What happened to Jean Marie Le wassname?
