Am I missing something or is that a bit premature? Surely Witham only need a point at Barkingside tonight and they will leapfrog the Ramblers!!!!

Personally, whilst I have nothing against Witham, I can't imagine there would be too many people who would begrudge Burnham a crack at the Ryman.

Can Dwight Gayle catch Anton Stephenson for the Don Douglas Trophy?

It will take a hat-trick against Clapton on Thursday to draw level. Though Anton still has the League Cup Final next Monday if he needs it.

Anton Stephenson would just like to congratulate you on winning Don Douglas Trophy in BGU’s first season would like to say thanks to you for staying @ BGU when a number of Ryman clubs came in for you to get top Goal score award in a teams first year @ senior level is some achievement well done from all @ Bethnal Green United

I assume the trophy will be handed to you @ the final

Yeah I cocked up!!!! Stansted were due to play Bas Utd on Thursday but they played last night instead, which meant the Bas Utd v Clapton game got moved to Thursday. Somehow I thought Stansted had two games left as opposed to Bas Utd.

I'm gonna go and lie down in a dark room now.

As much as we all admire Anton Stephenson's goal scoring prowess ( 30 ) and I appreciate that three goals is a nice cushion, last nights games brought another outsider ( 24 ) into contention and that is Chris Lewis of Burnham Ramblers with a hat-trick,and he is also in this years Cup Final on Monday.

Sean Thomas ( 23 ) plays tonight for Barkingside.

Dwight Gayle's ( 27 ) goal last night that passed between three players and the keeper like the eye of a needle was sheer class .

The Don Douglas Trophy is always engraved first , together with the individual trophy , so I am afraid that the recipient will have to wait just a little longer to receive same .

Hope no one is disappointed but it certainly all adds up to an entertaining end to the season !

Bet it weren't as good as Pethers goal for Burnham, it was like watching Maradonna!!

It reminded me of Ryan Giggs' goal against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi final replay - only better. If it had been scored in the Premier League, Sky would be showing it for years to come.

Yes Hookey it appears it did backfire............I cannot help but blame some of the managements decisions this season.............A real shame considering we started so well.............I just wonder what state our team will be in come pre season......................I fear a mass walkout
