The Reprieve

I now and then dip into other clubs forums and the moaning and groaning from some fans about our pending reprieve is a joke. Saying our 'staying up' was not done on the pitch etc etc which in fact is prob true but would they not take 'a get out of jail card' if offered.....100% sure they would unless their stupid. I for one don't really give a toss about certain clubs this side of the Medway Bridge but they seem more interested in this club then their own unless they don't have much to chat about. We had Billy Whizz (or whatever is his name) from M Stone moaning and groaning and hoping we dropped plus moaning about ex sones players coming here, I really don't know the ins and outs of the Maidstone situation and stand corrected but were they not being paid? that's life Billy if you don't get paid you move on to somone who will pay. Anyhow looks like its back to business in the premiership next season but please not another reprieve this time next year, top half or better please !

I happened to look on the Maidstone forum site yesterday and the said "Billy Solloxs" has posted that he wishes Margate go down and that we deserve to - basing his statement on the fact that someone on this forum had posted that they hope M/stone go bust. I myself probably thought along those lines but never truthfully wanted this to happen and would dare say no true supporter would wish this on another non-league club. However, if there are ill feelings between the Stones and our selves (supporters wise) then next season on the terraces could be exceptionally frosty, which I personnaly wouldnt like as mixing with the away fans during and after the game would take away some of the attraction of the non-league game. As regards us nicking their players, I think all would agree if your NOT being paid - go to a club that WILL pay you, even the Stones fans must see that or is there an apathy to their players income/wages thinking they will play for the LOVE of the game!!!!

You only have to look at Forest Green Rovers in the Conference over the last 10 years. I am sure they have been saved from relegation 3 or 4 times due to other clubs going to the wall lke Telford and our demotion. Dont have any hared to them they were just lucky (several times) and benefited for staying in the highest possible division
