Next seasons kit

I believe we have had the current kit for the last two seasons, and combine that with new sponsorship opportunities-may a new shirt/kit is being planned for next season ?

maybe the club could advise if that is to be the case.

Either way-whilst i have no problem with 'the 'Gate also being 'les bleus' and indeed enjoy the pre game' blues song', i would still like to see just a bit more white re-introduced to the kit-as we seem to have increasingly adopted 'all blue' when we seemed to have more success when we had a bit more white combined with blue in the kit.

i also think a bit more white is more aesthetically pleasing,distinctive-and arguably easier/quicker for the players to identify

There will be a new shirt for next season but what is not clear at this stage is the manufacturer or design - decisions which will in no small part will be made with cost in mind.

Blue shirts, white shorts and socks, the blue has to be a lot darker than the last two seasons

Seams its sorted then.

Bit disappointed its the same as last season and no increase in white; but hey-ho -more important things to worry about;and i guess the good thing is that its all in hand in plenty of time-and i guess as wellsie alludes to-at the best price.

Just feel that al blue has been relatively unlucky for us and is a bit boring.

never mind

Shame there is no change in style, would've thought new future new kit would look more dynamic than drab. The shade of blue is wrong. But I suppose its who wears it that counts.

Am disappointed too.More white & a darker blue I would have preferred also (as mentioned above). Dont see the need for a new strip if its going to be exactly the same. Why not just give last years strip another year in that case but then maybe thats............. ;) .............Never mind!

Maybe we can still have white socks-would'nt cost too much- (and would happily persomnally contribute )and would 'lift' the drabness of all blue (as well as arguably giving the players a better chance of seeing their own players-especially under lights)

It appears that, so far anyway, the choice of strip, shade of blue has not gone down to well, can we add a touch of yellow and win a bit more support !

If the kit is the same as last years but just with a new sponsor I believe that it will seriously affect sales if it. I will still buy one because I can't help myself but there are quite a few people that would struggle to justify buying one in the current financial tightness but would be more likely to if it was a completely different design.

Sorry to disappoint everyone - well, 4 people so far ;-) - but I can confirm the order has been placed.

There is a balance being struck here between the need to get a new main sponsor which we're doing through the Your Name on our Shirt Campaign (because like a lot of other clubs, it has proved so tough to get a single company to put an appropriate amount of money in on their own) and the costs and length of supply deal associated with a complete change in the strip.

I'm not sure that enough shirts are bought by supporters to make it a significant revenue stream to build into the decision as a high priority. Don't forget, it's just the margin the club gets to keep, not the whole price for the shirt.

To be honest I don't care what colour/design the shirt/shorts/socks are as long as the players who wear it play with passion for the club.

As i posted-regardless-its a positive that it has been already ordered.

Am i right that season before-or maybe last season-it still was not sorted in early July-and even then-big questions as to how it would be paid for.

(in fairness-maybe that was due to lack of sponsorship initiative.-,which seems to be on its way to being supported to at least some level this season.

That given-i still can't see how 'changing to plain white socks would change anything-especially if paid for by others--as there are a few other MFC team who could take up the blue socks-and i doubt whether there are sponsorship logos on the blue socks anyway.

Simply feel that it needs something to 'lift the drabness'.

Still -bigger things to deal with than the colour of socks i guess-

Perhaps we can ask all the players to colour their hair!!!! ;)

Whilst sitting here observing the ferry's coming & going I thought what a great idea.

I put this thought to Abdullah (he is spending a few days with me before he departs to Cape Town to see his friend Robin) and we both agree the players should dye thier hair Red, White and

Sales of the shirts I imagine aren't very high because they are so hard to get hold of.

The shop needs a injection of new things to buy, and get the online shop looking ship shape.

and stop trying to flog the bricks for the stadium, I handed in my money 5 years ago - hope you've been keeping it in a high interest swiss account!

A revamp of the online shop is one of my planned tasks over the summer but will obviously need to look at how it works before playing around with it. Ideally I would take it offline for now because of things like the bricks but as that would mean amending the link to it on every page and re-uploading them it would just take too long with the other bits I am trying to get in place.
