For those who do not think we will be reprieved....

Certainly looking positive for us and I guess that's where the smart money is. But the sonner there is official confirmation - which we don't have yet - the better. But don't hold your breath - confirmation of our reprieve last year came on 29th May after appeals to the FA from Cammell Laird and King's Lynn.

Strong talk of Cambridge being moved from Zamerrtto to ryman which would result in four being relegated from ryman as is the standard case.(would make sense especially now that they would have a deby game with lowestoft )

feeling very nervous again;and definately not taking a reprieve for granted

Now you've made me feel nervous as well; but where did the "strong talk" come from Michael?

You got me nervous too now. However KP said directly to everyone at the presentation that we WILL be playing Ryman Premier football next season. No ifs or buts but WILL. Premature or not? I don't think so but we will just have to wait & see officially I suppose.

Now, the season before he said a very similar thing at the same time & I was not altogether believing in him but he proved himself to be right then & I should be believing in him this time round. Hopefully he will be right this time too.

KP DOES do his homework on matters like this & generally wouldn't come out with a statement like that unless he was absolutely sure.

Having said all that, things I suppose could have changed since then so although I am slightly nervous again because of the above information I am still & should be quietly confident that what KP said will hold. Only time will tell I suppose.

Surely even if they switch clubs between leagues it would morally wrong to relegate 4 from one league and only two from another, if Cambridge come to us someone else would be going in the opposite direction.

If the Rymans followed normal league management thinking then Cambridge come to us and Lowestoft would go the other way!!!!!!!!

Less of the worrying. We have the best points per game of anyone of the fourth bottom teams across the three feeders. Therefore, if any teams drops out of the pyramid in tiers 1/2/3 we get the first reprieve. Teams being transferred is irrelevent. The FA will do their usual re-jig of the three feeders but we'll be the first to benefit from anyone dropping out.

Hopefully just part of the idle chatter that you get this time of year.

That given, it would be good to see a traditional non league side like cambridge city-and a good weekend away- in the ryman-as long as it was alongside Margate and not in lieu of.

Not sure that i go along with the view of zammarreto being stronger than the ryman league.

I would suggest you get more quality and quantityof players based in the home counties and thus a stronger league in the ryman.

I do not think the Ryman league wish to have clubs in that area - so cannot see it happening.

FARSLEY UPDATE

Leeds City Council’s offer to buy the Throstle Nest ground has been accepted by the Administrator (1). John Palmer is looking to have Farsley Celtic playing in the Northern Premier League next season.

May have an impact across the feeder leagues.

Hhmmmmm, I'd still like to think that's right but 2 steps from Blue Square South is Ryman North, 2 steps from Blue Square Premier is Ryman Premier. "When" did they resign? Here's hoping the authorities make the "right" decision for us.

Reading into it, it would appear that Grays officially annpounced the decision to resign at a Club meeting around the 20th April (they'd have been mathematically relegated well before then) - though the actual date on any official resignation letter could have been days or weeks before then ... I'm also unsure when a team is 'officially' relegated, is it on the day they're mathemically relegated or on the last day of the season?

They currently don't have a groundshare in place and, to qualify for the Isthmian(Ryman) League they would have to have a groundshare agreement in place by the 31st May - if that's not done then they're looking at the Essex Senior League, which they'd reluctantly accept as 'being better than nothing'.

In addition to the Chester,Farsley Celtic, Grays confusion I understand that Merthyr may not start the season in Zameretto Prem due to their debt problems. Another factor in an increasingly confused picture. Roll on Decision Day whenever that will be.
