This season on reflection

Recommended Posts

Much has been said and done this season,on and off the field but looking back on the season it hasn't been a bad season really. We were in with a shout of the play offs right up to the end and although we were without a decent cup run in the fa cup this season we somewhat made up for it with two cracking trophy games against chelmo and also reaching the Essex senior cup final which still has to be played.

The club is now in a much better position than it was at the end of last season.we have stability now and the only reason we are not sitting in the play offs is down to the horrendous injuries we have had, which have affected our results very much.our youth sides are doing very well.

We now have a supporters association which has worked very hard to help the club from arranging quiz/race nights to supplying staff on match days/tills/banners and a new club shop to name a bit of what they have done.

Everyone at this club needs to continue to work in thus way for the club to go forward, and if we do there is no reason why we can't challenge for promotion as champions next season let alone play offs, who knows, next season could finally see us drawn against a top premier club in the FA cup,you just never know what's round the corner with this beautiful game of ours

Can I use this opportunity to say thank you to Colin and Jimmy and all the players and staff at Hornchurch. Good season for the club under the circumstances, I won't forget the 4-4 at Chelmsford in a hurry. Roll on next season

quite remarkable that we were actually challenging for the play offs and reaching the essex senior cup final considering our off field problems left over from the old regime,i am very grateful to all who have given me the opportunity to watch my local team for the forseeable future again a big thank you to all involved

It has been a funny old season,at the start of it i would of just settled for being in the ryman prem at the end of it.

At the end i was a little dissapointed not to be in the play offs although not too dissapointed because i have known what we have been up against.

Despite some peoples bollox (mainly one idiot on the ESL forum),we will play Ryman prem football next season which is more than his poxy team will be doing.

Big thanks to gaffer, jimmy and all the other staff not forgetting our loyal fans who have stuck by us all season.

I predict that next season our gates will grow as we start better than this season as we won't have the distractions we had this season.

Onwards & upwards
