SORE HEAD TIME

After the roller coaster ride of yesterdays game and all the turmoil of extra time etc etc, was euphoric in the bar afterwards chatting to the players and enjoying the company of some friends/fellow supporters. As the beer/shots flowed freely and the conversation was steered in the direction of how glad we all were for that goal from LB, started to lose count of the drinks we were consuming :). Needless to say I amongst MANY others were a little bit tipsy - ok plished - and was met with a firm "go to bed" from the wife when I got home (oops). On reflection I did over do it a little but the purpose of this post was to say how overjoyed I was last nite at watching the fellas of the Mighty Blues battle like their lives depended on it as Im sure anyone who was at the bar afterwards witnessed from the smiles on the players faces. It means a lot when the guys you go to watch every Saturday.. show their passion for not only the game but the club, their commitment shone through yesterday and I applaud them one and all for that. Onwards and upwards to next season and with just a smattering of new talent Im certain next season will be easier on the ticker .... :)

couldnt agree more, and IOC deserves a lot of credit as well for the way he has got them all playing. Well done to everyone involved for turning the season round. Although finishing fourth from bottom is not really anythin to celebrate, i really feel that we can challenge next season. From the matches i saw towards the end of the season, the whole team were showing they can match any team in this league.

WELL DONE MARGATE - WE'RE ALL PROUD OF YOU!! HOPING FOR BETTER TIMES NEXT SEASON AND STILL BEING IN THE RYMAN PREMIER!

IOC has done a fantastiic job in making the players believe we can stay up and making us believe, after we all admitted defeat after IOC's first 2 games in charge. Taking no credit from the players as afterall they were the ones who went out and got the results we needed. In typical Margate fashion after having survival in our hands we opted to make life harder for ourselves and thankfully we came through stronger. Hopefully next season will be a roller-coaster of a season again but at the top end and like Chris said with how we were playing in the majority of the games towards the end of the season there is no reason why this can't be achieved. When you consider we were bottom of the table about 6/7 weeks ago with probably the hardest run in, this is a fantastic achievement. Well done to everyone involved in our survival
