Broadstairs Dave
there are so many everyone gave their all,but for me Grant Cooper had a immense game, quietly stopping many attacks and setting up ours. If I had two votes then Tommy Osbourne worked his socks off and repelled many attacks. Highlight of the game Football as it should be played ,on the ground passing against tall defenders for the Lloyd goal,he wasn't ever going to miss it. Cookie
Yes, a lot of heroic performances & whoever wins this one win will have deserved it but for me a little chap that normally does his work up front but came back so many times to help out in defence & clearing up when required, despite looking out on his feet...James Pinnock. Dutch_Mike
Blackman for me, simply for scoring the goal to give us a chance of a reprieve. Fitting for me that he should score the goal after such criticism (unfairly IMO). Although Osbourne comes a close second for a match-winning tackle at the death; without that, blue hearts would surely have been broken.
Cookie
Mike, even Lloyd admitted to me last night that he has been way off form so I dont think it was unfair criticism at all. In your opinion maybe but not in mine Lloyds or others at the time. He also admitted to me that he had no competition earlier in the season & that maybe he got complacent about his place in the team. However that should all be water under the bridge now as he more than made up for it yesterday for his superbly well taken goal alone, however not only did he produced a marvellous finish yesterday he also contributed more during the game too. Whereby he accepts criticism when he is off form, takes it on the chin & rolls his sleeves up as he surely has done, just like other pro's should do,he also acknowledges & is thankful for the praises when he gets things right. Yesterday was one of those days for him & its right that he should recieve the accolades bestowed upon him today.Well done Lloyd, not only for the goal but for being a true & understanding professional as well a gentleman. Was good talking to you last night. Edited April 25, 2010 by Cookie
Blues with Soul.
Grant Cooper - again another very professional display - also cleared their deflected free kick off our line and therefore saved us 2 points and from certain relegation. Hope he is with us next season.
BlueGate Alan
Ooops sorry Dan missing you out and thanks Beth for sorting. I feel a mention has to go to Dan Young who once again had a solid game at the back, rarely losing a header. If we can keep Dan, Grant & Tommy in central defence and, of course, Jamie Turner in goal I am convinced we will be in with a shout next season. BlueGate Alan
Poll now closed a massive win for Lloyd, no doubt due to his goal which keeps us in the Premier. I for one still hope he is part of the squad next season, well done mate. Good to see our central defence picking up votes too.
