Cracking game. From start to finish we were in control.

Man of the match for me was Lloyd Blackman. He's been widely criticised all season and been relegated to 4th choice centre forward since O'Connell's arrival, but he started the game and scored the goal that may well keep us in the league... and of course finishes the season as our highest goalscorer. Well done Lloyd, you were great today.

And also a big thank you to Harrow for smashing Ashford 6-2 today, without their help we'd be 20th...

We will see what happens re any reprieve.

Some may say it may be the wrong time, but it always puzzled me how IOC could drop our top goalscorer in Blackman,in favour of Huggins and pinnock.

Why do so many managers appear to be stubborn and 'play ther own signings' and seemingly snub other players.

That may be unjustified ,and thus i hope in an interview somewhere along the line,Wellsie asks IOC why he did not play blackmann in previous games.

Maybe he has been carrying an injury ?

We may never know, but i am sure that had blackman been in the team in the last few games,we would have scored at least one more goal and thus one more point and avoided relegation/reprieves and all the nonsense.

Whilst i believe IOC will prove to be a very good manager for the club; i just cannot see how he could justify not playing the clubs top scorer and indeed one of the leagues overall top scorers.

His perogative obviously-but i hope it will be clarified

Even more people gave LLoyd a cheering ovation This was more like the old Lloyd today. Well done LB

A great goal from Lloyd & yes Dave it was a bit like the old Lloyd out there today, the same Lloyd Blackman I was praising earlier in the season. I spoke to him after the game & congratulated him on a very well taken goal & while he accepts his form of late hasn't been up to scratch he is overwhelmed by the many praises he got today.

I too didn't hear ANYONE verbally abusing him from where I was standing when he was subbed either. (mainly I think to prevent him being sent off maybe). (why on earth would they after his efforts today).

On the contrary there seemed to be only deserved applause from where I was standing for which he turned round and acknowledged.

A big well done to him & all the other players for doing more than their their bit to day and to Lloyd for an exceeedingly well taken goal that will allow us to remain in the same division again next season.

In the words of KP at the presentation tonight to everyone where he stated "We WILL be playing in the Ryman Premier next season".

Kind of ironic that the player who got the most stick on here this season scored the winning goal.

For those who weren't there after the game...players' player was Aaron Lacey and supporters' player was Dan Stubbs.

Lloyd hasn't been my favourite player - far from it - but well done to him for remaining professional despite being out of the team for so long. His goal was well taken and he can hold his head up high.

Sounds about right Aaron has had a good consistent season and deserves it, Dan has been a supporters player, although he was not great today, but is very popular on this forum, as for Lloyd, very unlucky in my opinion one of the few that have been here all season and has scored goals, recent additions up front have been no better in fact worse in my mind, pleased he scored today, and hope he stays next season.

Lloyd has not been my favorite this season but he has always seemed to do his best and I think it was a well deserved and a cracking goal and I for one would like to see him here next season. I would like to congratulate all the players today for a good performance. I was very impressed with the ammount of work that pinn did for us at the back today.

Says it all for me. I spent the first half stood by someone who spent the whole time slagging these three off. I can#t imagine never returning to HDP, but if I didn't, it would be because of the grinding down of morale amongst the support rather than anything on the pitch. Well done all three.

I really dont know why people come to games and constanly have a go at players, thankfully these so called fans are few and far between. Well done to both Aaron and Dan for picking up their awards, well deserved IMO.
