Did Thanet Utd actually finish bottom ? either way they survived and in a few short years as Maragte they topped the Conference, From small acorns grow! KP and GW rescued the club changed the name back to Margate and for that we should all be grateful.

Yes Derek we lost the last game of the season at home to Andover 4 - 3 and they went above us to put us bottom. Luckily for us the Southern League had no relegation that year as they accepted another load of teams to extend the league the following year
