Congratulations on your win today. Having seen your ground for the first time today (on TV)I was wondering is it up to conference standard as it looked a bit restricted as far as possible development goes ? Of course I will see it for myselfe when our (Gravesend) match goes ahead. Until then, best of luck in the cup.

When will you lot get real? There are standards laid down by the various footbal leagues regarding the facilities that a ground needs in order to meet their requirements. Canvey aspire to go into the Nationwide Conference League and, following an inspection by league officials last season, the ground passed all the required criteria.
It had nothing to do with whether it was pretty, picturesque, had flowerbeds behing the goal or anything else so esoteric. The requirements of ground grading are in the public domain and a search on the internet will quickly come up with what's needed. Rod Hall (the ground manager) did his research and the ground meets all the criteria.
Whether Canvey stinks, Jeff King is rotund, the beach is **** or the lady who lives at 93 Park Lane needs to cut her grass - the ground passed. Like it or not, get used to it and stop bleating. If the team does the business on the pitch, we will be there, regardless of sad/jealous opponents' view of the ground.
Believe me, this is a club moving upwards. Whatever obstacle is in the way, we will overcome it. That's how successful clubs achieve success. Watch this space.
Frenchy

I have to work every other saturday so I miss a lot of games. Having said that I have only missed 4 games this season (home and away) so I am doing quite well.

To the other question, Yes I think you probably will win the league if I'm honest. But, I think we have a chance and if we can take some points off you who knows.

Maybe you will end up with a fixture conjestion again ? Anyway as I said before good luck in the cup but try to screw up in the league..............Ringo
