Essex Senior Cup Final Tickets

The following is the content of an Email received from the Essex County FA today:

"Further to the postponement of the Senior Cup Final for this season, we have decided that the tickets purchased for the previously scheduled game on Monday 29th March will not be accepted, under any circumstances, when the Final is played next season.

Supporters who purchased a ticket and therefore require a refund should return their unused ticket with a brief covering letter by post, or by hand during the club’s usual opening hours, to: The Ticket Office, Dagenham & Redbridge FC, The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium, Victoria Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 7XL.

Supporters looking to visit the ticket office should check on the Dagenham & Redbridge FC website http://www.daggers.co.uk to ascertain the opening hours."

Moderator Edit: We understand that Dagenham & Redbridge are sending out cheques for the refund, so it is worth adding who you would like the cheque made payable to.

Would have suggested going down Victoria Road mob-handed after a few beers at the Eastbrook but they probably keep office hours at the ground.

well at least the decent thing has been done and we are getting a refund, but as for the competition its self ,feel it has been undervalued now especially by colchester ,how on earth can they not put a team out against a little pub side from essex ?

what gets me is the decision was obviously made with colchesters remaining fixtures in mind. ie div 1 fixtures and possible play offs, but lets face it,they haven't put their first team out at all for any of the games and last season they beat us 6-0 (or 6-1) with only players returning from injury.

Saying that,it may work in our favour,if we can play new signings hopefully we can use a few arsenal/man utd/chelsea etc juniors for the day lol

I just wonder if it is in the best interests of both sides to play the game pre season, let's face it,at the time we could barely put out a team.I know as fans we just want to see the game played but on the flip side is it that bad we didn't.I think with a full team out the gaffer must fancy our chances

I went to Dagenham yesterday to get my refund and was told that they are sending out cheques rather than paying cash, so if anyone is going to go to the ticket office then they're probably be better off sending their tickets by post rather than going to the ticket office themselves.
