What happened with Colney v Tok manor last night

Recommended Posts

Am I to believe then that there are no more Manor games now. Cycled over again - guess the 16 mile round trip exercise is good for me - gates locked at Viking, so unsure how the cars near the clubhouse got in! Perhaps they contain Colney fans who didb't get out in time.....................

Ossie-d - Sorry you had a wasted trip last night, it certainly leaves a sour taste in the mouth that this season has ended in the fashion it has for the Club after all the hard work that has been put in

What hard work!!? Not by a groundsman, thats for sure.

Just face it Rhodes, the place is a dump and the pitch a disgrace.

End of season report for Tik Tok..................must do better! coffee%20(2).gif

Given the recent events can we expect Rhodes to apologise for his criticism of Haringey & Kentish Town for the state of their pitches? Let's face it, they had their problems but they were never so bad that the league had to close the ground down. Tokyngton Manor appear to be the first club to have that "honour."

Or will Rhodes just say nothing and confirm that he is the hypocrite we all know him to be?

Sjj2112 - I beg to differ, Sport London e Befica didn't kick a ball in anger at Coles Park from the end of September to early March and Haringey Borough from early October to the end of March yet all they got was a slap on the wrist

 :wall:

That was exactly my point. The league didn't see that there was any need to ban the use of the pitch. The pitch was unusable due to the weather, as indeed was TM's during the Winter months. It is only TM who have a pitch so bad that the league have been left with no option other than to order that it not be used again this season.

I assume then that you are not going to apologise to either Haringey Borough or Kentish Town for the campaign of abuse you have conducted against them?

Sjj2112 - The above applies to you not me. In all of your time watching football have you ever known a Club not to play a single home game between the end of September and early March, the weather was perfectly fine during October and November from what I can recall

So are you still maintaining that a club that loses games to the weather is worse than one that has it's ground condemned by the league?

Sjj2112 - But Sport London e Benfica and Haringey Borough didn't lose games in September, October, November, late February and March to the weather did they, that's the point I'm trying to get across

Peter Pan1 - Why don't we let Efc answer as he seems to be in the know about everything

All i can say is good job its not SLB, KENTISH or HARINGEY or RHODES would not stop going on about it? All them games being called off coffee%20(2).gif

Are you going to answer the above without bring any clubs in to your answer RHODES coffee%20(2).gif

Sjj2112 - I'm not saying it is worse, all I'm saying is that not playing a home game from the end of September until early March should have been looked upon far more seriously than it was particularly as the weather wasn't a factor in October and November

SLB had only one home fixture at the end of November during October and November which was postponed. So it really is no big deal that we hadn't played at home since September when there was only one home fixture anyway!

Makes your argument just a bit weightless, and as usual, with no substance. :smashfreakb:

Special1 - Really, well I will take your word for it as I can't be arsed to check back in the fixtures, why was your solitary home fixture during October and November postponed out of curiosity.

Incidentally congratulations on an excellent performance on Monday evening against London Colney, I was watching from the shadows and it was a throwback to 2007/2008.

Using your time period of October to the end of February.

Haringey Borough played 4 home games in total : 3/10, 17/10, 24/10 & 13/2

Tokyngton Manor played 4 home games in total : 17/10, 31/10, 28/11 & 13/2

What point are you trying to make exactly?

Sjj2112 - Well it's interesting that you conveniently leave out Sport London e Benfica's home record during that period

Peter Pan1 - I believe you're with Holmer Green and fair play to you for just rolling up your sleeves on Monday 19 April and getting on with it unlike London Colney two days later, the pitch was no worse that night infact I would say it was slightly better if anything

I see that tik toks games have all been postponed for the rest of the season apart from the colney game,

I'm assuming that Tuesday's Tokyngton Manor v London Colney game at Preston Park is off now there is nothing riding on it and it's a dead rubber
