Leyton & Harlow

And the normal route from the Middlesex league would be into the Spartan Leagues anyway as Sporting Benfica did..... BGU were a bit of a special case and we have all been very glad to have them I think. I can't see anyone coming "up" into the ESL this summer.

Another rumour going round at the moment is that Hornchurch go bust and Harold Wood FC take over their ground, and become Harold Wood and Hornchurch FC, and then go into the ESL.They will then drop the Hornchurch part of the name after one season.

What about Harwich & Parkeston ? Where are they going next season ?

From memory think they are going back to roots football, Essex & Suffolk, could be wrong.

Fc Clacton are in a promotion place last time i looked third in Ridgeons One, a few years ago they wanted to come to ESL but were told that they needed to be promoted to Step 5 first, as they could go in Ridgeons Prem or ESL it is possible this year, if they still want that. Obviously they would have had to resign by the deadline.
Well Leyton will either go bust or.... even if they don't they've asked to be relegated. Many of you will know that their chairman and financial backer was jailed last year and without him they just cannot fund a Ryman club.

So they will essentially take Harlow's bottom place in Ryman One North and either disappear back from whence they appeared or get relegated.
Then it depends how many clubs go bust higher up the pyramid.
Then it depends how many clubs from step 5 have applied for promotion (and have met grading) and finished in first position.
Then it depends how many clubs from step 5 have applied for promotion (and have met grading) and finished in second position - in leagues where the first placed team cannot be promoted.

After all that..... if there are still spots available at step 4 they will be awarded accordingly to clubs who have finished second bottom (which after Leyton's disappearance will essentailly be where Harlow sit). The problem Harlow will then have is that between all the 2nd bottom sides across step 4 the remaining places will be awarded to the 2nd bottom teams in order of the best points per games ratio, and with only having 14 points with 1 to play...... I'd suggest Harlow are probably bottom of that list.

Only at that point (when all step 4 spots are full) will Geography come into play and the step 4 leagues will then be shuffled as the FA, in their wisdom, see fit. The fact is that for Harlow, Bethnal Green United getting second place would have been the one that they'd have wanted as they don't meet grading to go up and it would have meant one less step 5 team to worry about.

All in all it's good news for Witham (or Burnham) as second in the Senior league looks very likely to be a promotion place..... for Harlow I think survival will be touch and go.... they are relying on clubs going bust above them and having to drop into step 5 leagues or lower.

Yep, lots of ifs, buts and maybe's.

Question is, if Stansted win the Title, which now looks likely. Is the Ryman League obliged to take the 2nd placed team or can they choose to do as they wish?
I can tell you now it will be whatever the Ryman decide !

Would the ESL be forced to take Hornchurch if they get thrown out of the Rymans?

So what was the point...... why are Bowers for example more worthy of a mention than Barking? Barking will be right up there next season mark my words.

I didnt answer the other day this part, but have now heard it from four different clubs now, so must be some truth in it.

Bowers & Pitsea to keep Colin in a Club Manager capacity and the Stansted Management and players to come over.

Bowers are a well run club and if this is true with the facilities they have they should be able to push on up the league.

I can't reveal my sources, so don't ask.

For those that don't believe it, wait till the start of the season i will accept your apology then.

I can tell you 100% that the Stansted management team and players are all goin to an Essex senior club near Chelmsford on the condition they are given promotion to the ryman league!

Mr fenn aka official spokesman, the rumours about us come from one person, you.now this is a threat,if I am ever in the same ground as you I will fckng hu*t you,you bitter twisted little Kent

For someone who says you don't care about Hornchurch Alan, you do tend to spend a disproportionate amount of time on other people's forum's critising Hornchurch - even to the point where you can economical with the truth as they say. Should you not be putting all your spare time and effort in promoting Romford?
