Reprieve?

Lots of conjecture about how many will go down. Possibly third from bottom may even be enough. I wonder though the effect of Grays dropping two divisions to the Ryman Premier, will this mean a reprieve for a Conference South club or will it affect the bottom four of our division? I still think if we get maximum points we'll be o.k.

Do we deserve a reprieve?

We had one last season & promises were made that 2009-2010 would be different.

This season was going to be a season where we could build the Club to be in a position to make an assault on the Title for next season.

But here we are again, in the drop zone & looking and hoping for a reprieve.

We have really gone full circle to where we were before the CK era. Looking towards the top of the League to express where we believe we should be, but having to look further down the League table to where we actually are.

I think it's time to rethink the strategy let Iain make deep cuts in our playing squad, retaining only a handful of the current squad and rebuild the squad from scratch. Effectively that's what CK did, though it took him two seasons before he had the foundations of a promotion winning team.

If Iain is the man to turn around our fortunes (with CK in the wings to guide him along) he has to be given a couple of years to turn it around, starting with a huge clearout of our current squad.

Will the Board (and the fans) have the patience to allow him us that sort of time to turn it around?

Strong and potent thread Peter and probably sentiment born of our situation at the minute, couldnt agree more which ever league we are in next season and who ever is in charge the true fans of this club need to be patient and get behind the team/manager cos eventually all will be right. Optomistic, yeah always... downhearted ..... NEVER.
