Barking 0-5 Billericay

Recommended Posts

Difficult one to call this as Barking were pretty dire. 1st half looked pretty good, Gary Henty given chance to stake claim for right back position, looked good, Sam Taylor had a solid game at left back as well. Centre midfield pairing of Penn and Hunter looked good, as did steve jones down the left. Penn opened the scoring after a corner hadn't been cleared by barking. Andy Jones then made it two with a confident finish before Trenkel nipped in to capitalise on some schoolboy defending to make the half time score 3-0. Soon after the break Hockton, on as a sub, made it 4 with a quickly taken direct free kick, then Patterson, also a sub scored the fifth. One worry when hockton limped off just before the end, but he looked OK in the bar afterwards.

Altho Barking looked dire, you can only beat what is in front of you (quote from jl last nite). I thought overall the performace from the team was solid with some encouraging moves and well taken goals.

Onwards with the game on Thursday which I think may be a little tougher

he s a big lad so i wouldnt want to risk it!!!

i thought we played pretty well last night esp first half and were good value for our convincing win.

i found myself confirming what i already thought about most of the players i had seen, i wonder if justin is now doing the same. agree with simon that sam taylor had his best game for us so far. lets not forget jj...stacking up those clean sheets already..good on yer mate

i would like to see our 'first choice' back four play a couple of games together as a unit before the start of the season tho...it only remains to find out what that first choice is!!!

rumours surrounding ruddock continued to circulate afterwards, perhaps someone from the club can put that one to bed?

cant make thursday so lets hope for a good result n see everyone at east thurrock saturday.

Is this a pikey compliment? I'm finding it difficult to tell. You're not Mean It Mick by any chance are you?

Have never tried to become a referee but I could assure you that if I ever was one no one would step out of line! Have umpired a number of hockey matches though so obviously not that unfit!

What was the 'WOW' for?

What is your problem Garlic? Unless this is an alias or you've been reading these posts for sometime you would have no idea who I am or what I'm like.

I wasn't saying you were trying to be hard or cool, if you weren't quite so stupid you'd realise I was, in fact, referring to MIM. Btw, I know you have something to do with him - if you're not the same person, than I'm guessing he's a friend/work colleague.

I'll leave you alone now to have a 'tommy tank' in the loo's as by the sounds of it it's likely to be the only action you'll get.

Mean It Mick - get a life.
