Oh well...We still have that back door to play for (if) any reprieve is on.

3 points v Hastings might help but before that Maidstone are capable of losing 3 games in a row & conceding some goals so who knows. It ain't "quite" all over just yet.(Maidstone to their credit however, seem to have pulled things out of the bag when they needed to lately)

Its not quite all over yet but realistically we are down but could be a blessing in disguise . Go down see who goes reboot a few new players into a good spine if Ian keeps the players he wants plus there is a good chance we could be sitting hear this time next season winners of Ryman Sth . What we also have to remember is Ian Oconnell has a wealth of experience at this level so with some money and some luck and IOC experience it could be champagne at the ready .

Up the Gate .

Well at least we won't finish bottom! Shame as I really thought we would win today and after such a good run we have now lost the last 3. Maybe the fixture backlog caught up with us in the end and we just could not make that last final push that would have kept us up. We could still get above Ashford and Bognor though it is more likely we will finish second bottom now which definitely means Ryman south next season. Will be interesting to see which players want to stay and who we can afford to keep! Would be great if we can keep Jay but cant honestly see him wanting to play the next level down - same for Pinns and a few others I suspect. Still if we can keep IOC at the helm and the return of the Great One materialises then we can come back stronger from this - a new low in our history but onwards and upwards and keep the faith!

Very disappointing today. Lots of huff and puff and endeaveor. Thought Lloyd had salvaged a point but rightly offside. Loads of possession again but not good enough in the end. Others can give more indepth analsis. Amazingly a win against Hasings (who i have not seen us beat since i was 12) and we could get 4th bottom which would survive. Good away support on a nice day at a Div 2 ground. There you go .

Started well (too well)

as others say-good possesssion.

cooper had header against upright-what would have been if we had taken the lead )

Barnes and Jones ran the show in first half-inevitable poorish defending when we failed to clear our lines led to their goal just before half time.(i've seen worse defending from margate but was not good just the same)

having had good first halves-barnes and jones faded completely in second half which was fairly even.

Was in the stand right in line with their free kick-it was always going to be a goal-we had four in wall with gap to turners right which he was meant to cover-well struck but arguably he should have done better-but more to the point-we shlould have had 5 in the wall.

IOC was also in line with the free kick -why he was not screaming to get a fitfh guy in the wall is beyond me-you could always see where it was going.(reminded me of that carlisle free kick in pre -season which everyone thought was a great strike-but we did not have enough in the wall-very poor imo.

Arguably a bit unlucky today.

Could not see much wrong with last minute disallowed goal -but others were closer to that..

As others say-complete lack of firepower.

i read wellsies report says we failed to convert our chances-did not see too many myself-maybe one made by blackman for pinnock late on but otherwise not much created imo

I always had doubts over pinoock and huggins-how pinnock gets in ahead of blackman is beyond me. (memories of yesteryear i fear)

Well at least we won't finish bottom!

I think we CAN still finish bottom on my calculations. On the other hand we CAN still finish out of the bottoom four too.The latter is of course a very long shot but 4th bottom isn't out of our reach at least, provided we secure 3 points in our last game & get a little help from our friends. Of course midweek results for our rivals may have decided things for us before Saturday having said all that.

Who ever it was who said we were relegated after today is way too premature & probably over excited at the prospect & probability of seeing us demoted.Yes,probable but not as yet a sure thing.Still all to play for & we have to play to that final whistle.
