There appears to be some updated information on Codicote's Website whereas there is barely a mention of the groundshare on Hatfield Town's site:

2 promotions.....does that include the one where Kings Langley finished in a higher position but were refused promotion as their ground wasn't up to the League's requirements, but your ground, sorry the ground you were sharing.....tut tut, bring back the 2 up, 2 down irrespective of requirements.

Also the Codicote website says summit about both sides playing first team games at WGC????

Anyway here is a trivia question to all football diehards, 'When did Hatfield Town last play on a pitch they could call their own?'

Yes 2 promotions in 2 years, perhaps we should have refused to take up the promotion offer because you don't approve you hand pump! not a bad record really, then a mid table premier finish. Roll on next season...............................

yeah it was a bit of a back door promotion but if you ground aint up to scratch then how can that team be promoted. so as 2 teams have to go up we were next. shame kings langley such a lovely outfit!!!

ref of ref dont be so aggreived that we went up. I tell ya what then they should have put the team who finished 4th up then, then everyone would of been alot happier!!

but guess what NO-ONE LIKES US, WE DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!

No-One Likes Us - Hatfield Town don't do themselves any favours in the friendship stakes and I can see that causing problems with Codicote next season, the two Club's are like chalk and cheese

Ted Collie, the chairman of Hatfield Town (and also the vice chairman of the Herts Senior County League!) says that he has the best of relationships with Codicote, and if Rhodes would care to contact him direct, he will be pleased to enlighten him further.

I would concour Horace. Likewise, he can call Jim Bundy the Codicote Chairman !!!! Both Clubs are very happy with the agreements in place and have a good working relationship with each other and the Gosling management . The facilities will enable both teams to progress and build even more solid foundations than they already have.

When Codicotes new facility is completed, then we may or may not move the 1st team back there, it will be a nice choice to have!!! http://jc-codicote.org/

Codicote and Hatfield now offer the best non league football in the area in terms of facilities and coaching staff, so onwards and upwards dance%20%282%29.giffor both Clubs.

The truth is slightly different , Codicote FC were excepted as the resident club by Gosling Sports Park and when Hatfield approached them a second time, after messing them about the first time, were told that they would need to ask for our agreement to play there. So technically Hatfield are groundsharing with Codicote. It is true that the bulk of the cost of bringing the ground up to a suitable standard is being supported by Hatfield but we have offered the use of our floodlights to further improve the brightness on the pitch . I am sure that we will in time erect our own sign saying 'Home of Codicote Football Club'.

So if everything in the Gosling Sports Park garden is rosy how do you explain the above post then made by a Codicote Football Club representative

ref of ref how are you ever supposed to gain your own ground when your local council keep turning down planning permissions that we have kept putting foward for the last 4 or 5 years.

The money is there but you cant bulit on land that isnt yours now can you!!!! So for time bein it will have to be a groundshare which is just fine for us..

And we kept them wgc mugs afloat for another season anyway!

And rhodes we dont want anyone else to look at us in any other light other than the one that already shines over us

No-one Likes Us - Is it coincidence that the one and only time I have 'had the pleasure' of meeting Hatfield Town fans they firstly tried to get into the Viking Sports Ground without paying and secondly drank the place dry, the Chairman had to drive to the nearest off licence at half time to get more supplies

Rhodesly, you are infamous for being as tight as a rent boy with dysentry, climbing over or under fences to avoid paying to get into a football match and here you are slanderously attributing that behaviour to the good fans of Hatfield Town, talk about twisted double standards!

So they brought some much needed sales to the Tik Tok bar and no doubt your chairman spent the takings on improving your dire pitch, not.
