Forgive me for saying so G1 but Romford didn't have a playing budget of any sort last season. Not that we've got one this season either.

 

Glad we're not still in the ESL this season though as it's a tough old league and the team that wins it will be worthy champions.

I know a few players who played for Romford last year. A couple of them swear they were on no money, but 2 have told me that they got "a bit of expenses". A case of paying some players but not paying others possibly?

 

I know some clubs do that.... give money to "big names" and the rest play for nothing.

Well men NO one at Bethnal Green gets any money expenses or whatever.The players bought there own warm up t shirts for the cup final and will wear the same ones for the League Cup Final.I know at clubs they say they dont pay wages but i think expenses are the same? Eton Manor were paying fifteen pound expenses not sure if they still are but they will say there not paying wages? Can someone give BGU some money and we will pay wages and we wont deny it? lol

I think Eton Manor are only payin the money as win bonuses, not expenses....... not 100% but pretty sure that's true and I don't think they've denied it..... so if it's £15 win bonuses that's not cost them much this season........ haha....

He is a journeyman who wont come cheap, so dont come all high and mighty.... didnt you say he was here for the experience...lol

Steve Portway is a gentleman and in his time at Hullbridge hasn't received a penny and even paid his own fines.Football wise at 42 he could still teach any striker in the ESL a thing or 2 about finishing.Calling him a journeyman it's an insult to his great non league career.

Ports is a ledge, I once saw him take an "under-arm" throw in at Bowers and the Ref said play on!!!
